Parkdean - Sea Acres Holiday Park
Certificate of Excellence

First time here - previously stayed locally at Mullion. We much prefered Sea Acres as it is a more relaxed park with minimal facilities but instead cracking views, beach/cliff walks & great atmosphere. If you want arcades, noisy entertainment etc etc Mullion is a better choice!
The staff here are friendly and efficient, the only downside is the abysmal catering offering which is a 'bistro' & 'takeaway' offering similar cheap freezer to fryer products. Luckily there are some fantastic local pubs (Lizard - Witchball/Coast/Top House!) and a local Sainsburys (Helston) with a snack cafe offering basic brekkies & lunches at a minimal cost! We took our dog and it was a great place for him too!!!!!! (Note - if you have kids and you want bigger pool & arcades you can use Mullion facilties with your Parkdean park pass!)

We Chose this holiday park as we were looking for a relatively quiet park within walking distance to the beach, with playground, indoor pool, shop and amusement arcade. The proximity to the beach and coastal path particularly appealed to us and we were not disappointed. The views from the park are stunning! We arrived early and our caravan wasn't quite ready, so we grabbed some drinks from the reasonably priced bar and enjoyed them on the bar terrace whilst soaking up the sun and relaxing atmosphere. We were a little concerned when we arrived at our caravan as it smelled of stale cigarette smoke, despite being cleaned and the windows left open. We asked if there was another van available and the friendly and helpful lady showed us to another caravan on the edge of the playground much to our 8 year old daughter's delight. The caravan was clean and spacious and the beds were comfortable. We were very pleased with the efficiency and helpfulness of the reception staff on arrival and throughout. During our stay we enjoyed a delicious cream tea at the picturesque village of Cadgwith, a well earned treat after our coastal walk, lots of beautiful scenery and flora and fauna to take in along the way. The highlight of our holiday was our visit to the Minack open air theatre near Penzanze. We saw 'Far from the Madding Crowed' against the breathtaking Cornish panorama. A very moving and memorable experience and well worth the drive. Our 8 year old loved Flambards theme park, no queuing, good selection of rides, with the roller coaster, Skyraker and Thunderbolt being our daughter's favourites. We used our entrance ticket to return on another day for free and also enjoyed the Victorian museum, fantastic attention to detail. Good value for money considering we went on the rides several times and returned for free! Much fun was had in the maze at Glendurgan National Trust gardens, it's harder to solve than you think! Also visited The Seal Sanctuary booked through the Sea Acres reception staff using a discount. An informative and heart warming experience for any animal lover. Sea acres makes a great base for exploring the surrounding area and we would certainly recommended it if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing stay with superb views of the Cornish Coast. The only improvement we feel the park could make is at the restaurant. The food was very reasonably priced, but you do get what you pay for. Some of the food seemed low quality and frozen. It was a shame as it was nice to see some local produce on the menu, and good choice. We would have preferred to have paid a few pounds more and get better quality (especially the chips, which were pretty bland and rubbery!) Not great for foodies but ok if feeding a family on a budget.
A lovely park, beautiful part of the world, nice staff and clean, spacious caravans. A wonderful family holiday had by all! Highly recommended!

Having spent the second week of our hols at sandymouth holiday park, I wish we'd stayed at Sea Acres for 2 weeks! There is such a relaxed, friendly vibe about the place. Last year we stayed in Godrevy number 111, this year a Polpoer number 105. The bedroom space in Polpoer is tight but the living and kitchen areas are lovely with double doors onto the deck. I didn't feel it was as clean as the van was last year and upon arrival the fridge freezer wasn't on which took a while to get our groceries cooled. There was also a large burn in our decking (some wally had obviously put a BBQ on it!) and a bed hadn't been removed as requested for the cot bed. However we alerted reception and this was rectified straight away, even the hole in the decking was repaired. The location of these vans is amazing as the children can play in the park across from you and there are some lovely sea views.
We don't go in for club houses so didn't spend any time there at night though we did go for a costa coffee during the day which was lovely. Te beach isn't too far to walk to though there's not much else to explore by foot, well not that we found with a pushchair anyway! We met some lovely families, not being snobby but not those synonymous with your typical holiday parks! My daughter loved it, she spent all her time on the park and made some great friends.
I'd highly recommend this site, I found Parkdean very helpful from booking (we got the van we requested) to dealing with queries. I hope we'll return again!

Family of 4, we stayed for a week in an 8 berth caravan, ideal as we put our kids in separate rooms.

Caravan was of good standard, although there werent enough mains sockets for the number of electronic gizmos we had with us!

Site was clean / tidy and in a fantastic location for views and access to Kennack sands beach (down the hill) - however after last winters storms this beach has little sand at low tide making it clay mud.

We didnt each in the bistro, but did use the bar and it was very friendly.

Biggest disadvantage is that if you want to shop at a big supermarket then you need to drive all the way (12 miles) to Helston. So ensure you plan your journeys to pick up what you need as you pass through the town back to the park.

Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: vans around the outside of the park seem quietiest

My wife and I, with my two yearold daughter, stayed here on the 17th July 2014 and had a lovely week long break. The caravan was fine but showing some minor signs of wear and tear, nothing to moan about. The site is located just a few minutes walk down to the beach which is an ideal location. This makes the views from the caravan site beautiful.

The facilities are good with a simple bistro, indoor pool, small indoor soft play and table tennis table. The evening entertainment for the kids was fine.

The beach is quite pebally but with some sand and uncomfortable under foot in places.

Overall we had a great stay and would come back.

Sea Acres is a lovely little caravan park with beautiful views over Kennark Sands. The park is well kept, our caravan was clean & comfortable & had a lovely sea view. We drank in the quiet little bar before dinner in the Bistro. The food was very good with a nice choice of starters, mains etc. & the evening entertainment was very good (John Clegg from BGT). We found the staff very polite & helpful especially the young lady in the Bistro, who, although run off her feet was smiling & cheerful & made us feel welcome. There is also a small shop, launderette & swimming pool. We would recommend this park & will hopefully return in the future.
