Parkdean - Sea Acres Holiday Park
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 26 August 2014

We stayed at Sea Acres in late July and what a little gem this place is. We stayed in a front row caravan with one of the best views you could ever wish for. On arrival the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The caravan was spotless and had everything you could need for a holiday stay. The deck was much appreciated and many an hour was spent on it with a glass of wine just taking in the view. Needless to say it is much better if the weather is good and luckily it was brilliant that week.
The facilities at the campsite are good. The Bar is welcoming with a nice decking area outside. The drinks although not cheap are reasonably priced. The food in the Bistro was nice and again well affordable. The entertainment was the only thing I could grumble about. There were only 2 outside acts in the seven nights we were there and although the two resident entertainers tried their best maybe a few more live acts and bands would have been better. There is a good little shop on site that has all the necessary bits and boobs if you run out.
The 9 hole par three golf course is a little tester, definitely not a pitch and putt course. Me, my wife and 13 year old son had many hours struggling to beat par. Great fun indeed. Only a short walk down the road is the lovely Kennack sands. There is a great beach here with a couple of cafes if you get hungry of thirsty. We bought food a on a couple of occasions at the first cafe you come to and thought it was good at a decent price.
There is a very relaxed and easy atmosphere wherever you go on the park and I would highly recommend anyone looking for a relaxing family holiday to check it out. Be warned if you want a front row caravan book early.

We stayed here in the may school holidays. And felt instantly relaxed from the second we arrived. The setting and location is amazing. Very kid friendly and very dog friendly but without being over bearing.
Instantly our lad found friends and spend what ever time we were on site running round playing with them. It's a very safe resort and even though it's a big park you can almost always see or hear them from your van.

If your not able to walk a great distance I'd look else where as the park is a drive from most things. The beach is accessed via a quiet country lane only 5 mins away but is quite steep on the way back.

Pubs and places to eat out are a drive away so if you can eat the same sort of thing from the on site take out or cook your own dinner you won't have a problem.

There is a small bar on site and they are welcoming and friendly. Made fuss of our dog which of course he loved.

Also there's a small shop which is well stocked with essentials and a good supply of alcohol.

They have an on site pool. I didn't go but my wife and son did. They only alow a certain amount of people in so it's not ridiculously crowded.

The caravan we stayed in more that suited our needs and was comfortable to boot. We really enjoyed the decking so when we were not doing anything we could sit and relax.

Either a short drive or a good walk are some amazing views and sights. The lizard peninsula is amazing. I've never seen turquoise waters like this in the UK before its like Greece. We all enjoyed the lizard as there was a little bit more going on. You've got your fish and chips and pubs but stunning views to boot.

We will be going back at some point. Great place for a family staycation.

Second stay here this year - a lovely quiet site. Not as big and commercial as many other parkdean/haven sites we've been to but still has great facilities and is in a fantastic setting. Love this part of Cornwall... Loads to see and do nearby and you can easily escape the crowds that hit Cornwall in August! Godreavey caravan well located to watch the children in the park while enjoying a peaceful drink on the deck out front. Vans very clean and well equipped. My only criticism is that the mattress on the double bed was the most uncomfortable one I've ever slept on!

Room Tip: Godreavy good modern caravan, great to keep an eye on kids in park but no sea views

First time here - previously stayed locally at Mullion. We much prefered Sea Acres as it is a more relaxed park with minimal facilities but instead cracking views, beach/cliff walks & great atmosphere. If you want arcades, noisy entertainment etc etc Mullion is a better choice!
The staff here are friendly and efficient, the only downside is the abysmal catering offering which is a 'bistro' & 'takeaway' offering similar cheap freezer to fryer products. Luckily there are some fantastic local pubs (Lizard - Witchball/Coast/Top House!) and a local Sainsburys (Helston) with a snack cafe offering basic brekkies & lunches at a minimal cost! We took our dog and it was a great place for him too!!!!!! (Note - if you have kids and you want bigger pool & arcades you can use Mullion facilties with your Parkdean park pass!)

We Chose this holiday park as we were looking for a relatively quiet park within walking distance to the beach, with playground, indoor pool, shop and amusement arcade. The proximity to the beach and coastal path particularly appealed to us and we were not disappointed. The views from the park are stunning! We arrived early and our caravan wasn't quite ready, so we grabbed some drinks from the reasonably priced bar and enjoyed them on the bar terrace whilst soaking up the sun and relaxing atmosphere. We were a little concerned when we arrived at our caravan as it smelled of stale cigarette smoke, despite being cleaned and the windows left open. We asked if there was another van available and the friendly and helpful lady showed us to another caravan on the edge of the playground much to our 8 year old daughter's delight. The caravan was clean and spacious and the beds were comfortable. We were very pleased with the efficiency and helpfulness of the reception staff on arrival and throughout. During our stay we enjoyed a delicious cream tea at the picturesque village of Cadgwith, a well earned treat after our coastal walk, lots of beautiful scenery and flora and fauna to take in along the way. The highlight of our holiday was our visit to the Minack open air theatre near Penzanze. We saw 'Far from the Madding Crowed' against the breathtaking Cornish panorama. A very moving and memorable experience and well worth the drive. Our 8 year old loved Flambards theme park, no queuing, good selection of rides, with the roller coaster, Skyraker and Thunderbolt being our daughter's favourites. We used our entrance ticket to return on another day for free and also enjoyed the Victorian museum, fantastic attention to detail. Good value for money considering we went on the rides several times and returned for free! Much fun was had in the maze at Glendurgan National Trust gardens, it's harder to solve than you think! Also visited The Seal Sanctuary booked through the Sea Acres reception staff using a discount. An informative and heart warming experience for any animal lover. Sea acres makes a great base for exploring the surrounding area and we would certainly recommended it if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing stay with superb views of the Cornish Coast. The only improvement we feel the park could make is at the restaurant. The food was very reasonably priced, but you do get what you pay for. Some of the food seemed low quality and frozen. It was a shame as it was nice to see some local produce on the menu, and good choice. We would have preferred to have paid a few pounds more and get better quality (especially the chips, which were pretty bland and rubbery!) Not great for foodies but ok if feeding a family on a budget.
A lovely park, beautiful part of the world, nice staff and clean, spacious caravans. A wonderful family holiday had by all! Highly recommended!
