“Too good to share really....”

Cremyll to Kingsand Walk
Reviewed 10 October 2013

Catch the passenger ferry to Cremyll and walk through the fabulous grounds of Mount Edgecombe Park (no formal charge for entry but donations gratefully received for upkeep of the gardens) along the well marked coast path to Cawsands/Kingsand. A few inclines but nothing major and a long gentle sloping path into the twin villages with views to die for along the way. I'm a local and never get tired of this walk....in fact I'd rather the secret wasn't shared about too much. A good pub at Cremyll to either start or end with....and several to choose from in Cawsands/Kingsand. I don't know where MW went to find the Plymouth Inn...never heard of it. Perhaps you're referring to the Devonport Inn? But there are others too......

A really nice walk with plenty of places at the start or finish to have a beer or ice cream. The Plymouth Inn is a nice place to have a bite to eat and a pint

Spent a lovely six hours completing this walk on a lovely sunny day with a very enthusiastic Labrador- was great fun and beautiful scenery. Would probably go again in the autumn or winter when it is not so warm. The route is a little hilly in places and very clearly marked (although we were often stopped by other tourists and hubby was able to assist European visitors with the route!)

This is an easy walk through the trees and out into the sunshine as you approach Kingsand. There are some steps to assist with the inclines and clear markers for the footpath.

Got the Cremyll Ferry and took the coastal walk to Kingsand and then Cawsaw. It was a beautiful sunnt day and the views were breathtaking. On days like that you wonder how many of us would venture abroad if we could only guarantee the weather here ? Popped up to the top of the Folly on the way and it was a great 31/2 to 4 miles walk to blow the cobwebs out from the night before. The girls did feel the up and down on their legs, but everyone enjoyed the experience..... And there are pubs at the end lol
