We have just had a weekend break at the Nare. It was akin to stepping into a bygone age of deferential service in a lovely country house setting. From the moment we entered the hotel our luggage was taken up to our room and our car 'tucked away' for us. Cream tea served in the drawing room is an elegant affair with silver pots and a sumptuous array of homemade cakes and scones. Dinner was again a very elegant and formal affair in the dining room (there is a more relaxed option in the Quarterdeck if preferred).
We had a wonderful room on the first floor with a massive balcony and superb sea views. There is also a smallish but perfectly formed indoor pool, steam room and sauna (oh and a gym if you feel so inclined - we didn't!) There is an outdoor pool and hot tub too.
I had a wonderful 90 minute massage at the spa and can highly recommend it.
Overall the weekend was a wonderfully relaxing and refreshing experience and it was a delight to be served so well by all of the staff.
We shall certainly be visiting again.More
