We first went to this restaurant at The Nare Hotel near St Mawes Cornwall last year, and were so impressed that we returned again this year accompanied with 4 friends. We were not disappointed, and the weather was so good that we sat outside on the Quarterdeck. It was just like being on holiday on the Amalfi Coast in Italy with a fantastic view overlooking the sea. Recommend that you try and visit when weather is sunny and sit outside to capture the best ambiance. Between us we ordered the following from the lunch menu - local crab sandwich, fresh local caught fish and hand cut chips, scallop salad, prawn/crayfish salad, and rare rabbit (a toasted cheese, tomato and bacon on bread delight). Although slightly expensive, the quality of the food and service could not be faulted, and we will certainly return again next year. One slight comment was regarding the table. This was unstable partly due to worn joints rather than an uneven surface and it took 6 of us to put our feet on the feet to stop it rocking.
