We stayed at Green Bay Lodge for 3 nights at the end our trip. We couldn't have picked a better spot, and I wish we could have stayed longer! The grounds are gorgeous, the lake is beautiful, the water is temperate, and the location is excellent - we could get most places fairly easily. Our little apartment was so well appointed - nice sheets, comfortable bed, good teapot, candles, nicely equipped kitchenette - everything was so well thought out and immaculate. Early mornings on the patio with a cup of tea were sublime, and evening barbeques and meals on the patio were magical with the daylight fading and a soft symphony of frogs and a sky full of stars. It was the nicest part of our trip! Klaus and Karin are wonderful people who truly seem to care that you are having a good time, and they were extremely helpful, going above and beyond the call of duty for us. I have already recommended this place to my mom and my best friend!

As part of an cross country motorcycle ride we found ourselves hunting for lodging on Manitoulin Island. Nothing in Little Current or the surrounding area met our expectations so we started cruising around. Small signs indicated that some place called Green Bay Lodge was somewhere in the area. It took some hunting and the help of a local to find the gate.. uh oh, gravel road, not the best for a big Harley Davidson touring bike. It was late and we were out of options so on we went. We are so grateful that we did. What a treasure!!
We arrived unannounced with no reservation but Klaus and Karen welcomed us warmly. Karen even provided an impromptu dinner when she learned that we had not eaten. The whole experience was nothing short of magic. Uber-clean rooms, delicious breakfast, gorgeous views, spectacular sunsets, lovely peace and quiet. We could go on and on.
Here's a tip if you are riding a motorcycle. As you ride along the gravel road you will come to a fork that indicates Green Bay Lodge somewhat straight ahead and "Motorcycles and Bicycles" to the right. Believe the sign and go to the right! It still takes you to the lodge and is MUCH easier to traverse than the other route. Ask me how I know :-)
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

A home away from home! So clean and well maintained. So tranquil and pristine! It's beautiful especially the view from the studio (i.e. the top level of the chalet). Never dreamed of looking out to the lake when having our meals. Wow!

Right at the planning stage, I wanted to make this trip a memorable one for the many years to come. Despite, it was the most expensive cottage amongst those I have searched, I have absolutely no reservation to say "It is worthwhile!"

Kluas and Karen, Thank you! You have done a marvelous job . Your Lodge is a paradise!

Room Tip: The Studio is the best! A very spectacular view!

The owners are very friendly as is the dog. Stay in the studio it was amazing and had a full kitchen and wood burner. We used the complimentary canoe to paddle straight from the accommodation around the top of the lake. It's a beautiful peaceful area with great views. Thanks for letting us stay.

If you like friendly, upscale living this is the place to visit. Very remote but bring books, a hobby and you will love this retreat. We choose the loft apartment which is sunny and has two decks one over looks the lake the other lets you enjoy the gardens. A fully equipped kitchen and wood stove for chilly evenings.
Jessie is an added advantage if you must leave your dog at home.
This is the most restful vacation I have ever had !

For 4 nights we stayed at this amazing B & B and could have stayed on for sooo much longer! It is the nicest spot you could wish for just relaxing on the sun loungers, taking out one of the boats or exploring the island. We stayed at the light filled and gorgeous studio flat and did our own cooking -it comes with a spick and span BBQ - Every night Klaus lit a camp fire which all guests enjoyed and got to know each other a bit. I can highly recommend this beautiful, clean, friendly,green... - I could go on for ever - place with the nicest hosts you could wish for , Karen & Klaus!

Room Tip: We loved our Studio - full of air and light , with its own terrace to watch the sun go down...

It's been our second time at the Green Bay Lodge and it was as amazing as the first! This beautiful tranquil spot with the kindest hosts, Klaus and Karen, invites you to just relax. The amazing garden with its sun chairs and access to the clear lake for swimming or kayaking/ canoeing, the sunset cruise with Klaus - you would never have to leave ( and don't want to)... But it's also central enough to access the Cup & Saucer Trail in minutes and just a short drive to attractions like the Bridal Veil Falls. Well, anything is a short drive on Manitoulin Island anyway.
We are planning to come back every year!

Room Tip: All five apartments are great. It's more a budget question that'll help you choose.
