A great place to learn about the history of the area with many displays. I enjoyed learning about the area here. Nice gift shop with a fair bit of unique as opposed to mass produced stuff.

We went there expecting to walk through the factory or even see a small section of the factory on how cheese was made!
The heritage center has displayed items thats were used in the 1900s.
Cheese is cheaper to buy compared to supermarkets.
there is a cafe you can buy warm drinks, muffins, ice cream
Nice outdoor seating area to sit down and listen to nature!!
Dont expect much! but its still a fun day out!!

Unfortunately we went there expecting to see how cheese was made. The heritage center itself was cute but it seemed to be pretty exploited. Expect to find a bit of history and people not too interested in it..

Living in Canberra we have often driven past the factory and this visit we had time to go and have a look. Would have to agree with the other reviewers a bit disappointing, I was looking forward to seeing cheese being made! Yes you can sample and buy cheese (some I had not seen in the supermarket) and their coffee was nice. Take a look upstairs while you are there, a nice craft shop with beautiful quilts. It's worth a look if you haven't been before but now that we've seen it probably won't go back.

Pretty dull. You can't walk through the actuall factory. The museum is very small and doesn't tell you much about cheesemaking. The cheesetasting is for free but basically offers you 10 different cheeses you can find in any Australian supermarket. We left very disappointed.
