My husband and I are carers for our adult son who has a disability so any chance we get to escape for weekend away we grab with both hands. Imagine our disappointment then when we rocked up to Peppers Craigieburn to be greeted by the tiniest bedroom and even tinier bathroom we have ever stayed in. If I was a pygmy travelling on my own then the room and facilities would have been adequate but it's way too small for couples. You have to be a bit of a contortionist in the bathroom, sidestepping around the toilet to get into the shower and doing it all again in reverse to get out !!!
We have stayed in better accommodation in budget hotels so they are kidding when they rate themselves a four star establishment.
The original old homestead and grounds are just beautiful but the place is sorely let down by sub-standard accommodation. Thankfully we only stayed the one night and the $249 we paid for our room was not good value although the breakfast (which was included in our tariff) was quite good so that was one tick for Peppers.
