“Excellent curries on a cold night”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 May 2014

It had turned sharply cold and on a Sunday night many of the great reviewed restaurants were not open so we went walking, I wanted some beef, not as easy at it would seem, on our 3rd block we came across Orient Express, checked out the menu and it looked good, we had prawns with daikon salad, very nice followed by beef rendang and goat curry, both were so so good. Accompanied by a Margaret river biodynamic organic red $32 a bottle. Absolutely superb, can highly recommend, great decor, very good service, superb food and reasonable prices, what more can you want.

“Disappointing. Was a fan but has gone downhill.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 April 2014 via mobile

Greeted by a friendly if somewhat dippy waitress, so far so good. Asked for a sparkling mineral water. She brought me a one litre bottle of still water. No big deal but it was the first of many disappointments. Free appetizers were pickled veggies and they were totally delicious as always. Vegetarian spring rolls were huge, greasy and tasteless. Duck pancakes had so much sauce that they tasted more like jam sandwich. Could not taste anything except jam. Not the pancake or the duck $49.70 for this blah feeling I am now going to sleep off.

“Best place in Byron ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 April 2014 via mobile

Food and service is always amazing. Fast, fresh and heathy. My family and I have been eating here for years and never had a bad meal or bad experience. Food is sensational, service is first class.
I would eat here every week if I could. Take from a local , this is the place you want to be eating at.
Best restaurant is town !

Delicious. Pork belly. Duck pancakes. Chicken dish with honey. We have been here before and excellent both times. Different salty food. Nice new versions of Asian. Loved it

“Astounded and disappointed”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 March 2014

9 march 2014 six of us wanted to have lunch at this restaurant which we have dined at previously about 5 times and took byo wine. When we sat down today with 2 bottles of wine we were informed by the waitress that house policy was now 1 bottle per table and $10 corkage. I fail to see how 6 people can share 1 bottle of wine when spending $30 per head for food. Unfortunately we all decided to leave and will never never never return.
