“Comfortable & clean guesthouse”
Reviewed 2 September 2012

We stayed one night at Byron springs Guesthouse and we had a great time!! We traveled nearly two months but this guesthouse was the best place to stay over! The bedrooms were comfortable, clean and fancy. The facilities such as the kitchen, bathroom etc were also very clean and very nice! In addition, we could use the bikes of the guesthouse for free!

We saw that some people in their reviews complained about noise, however when we stayed at the guesthouse the last bedroom was renovated to reduce the noise level. So now there isn’t any noise anymore in the entire guesthouse!! We really enjoyed are stay. The owners of the guesthouse really love people and together with their staff they try to make your stay as comfortable and pleasurable as possible.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Byron Springs for 9 nights, and we loved it. The owners Peter and Susie were staying at the guesthouse for the duration of our stay, very nice personable people. Upon learning that the primary focus of our stay in Byron was to take surf lessons Peter volunteered to take us out on the water with him as he was an old surfer, and on the last day of our stay he took us out to the pass and helped us catch some waves. The heated patio was also excellent and was a great place to have supper or a few drinks in the evening. The breakfast was also a nice touch as were the free bikes that we made use of on a daily basis to head into town. Breakfast and the turndown service was also a nice touch. As for a downside there really isn't too much the walls were thin, but they were starting sound proofing just as we were leaving. We found it nice that they were taking the steps to deal with this problem that other traveler's had made mention of. It is a fair distance from town but if you have a car or don't mind taking a bike it is easy enough. If I were heading back to Byron Bay this would absolutely be the place that I would stay the services and hospitality that were provided were worth every penny and more.

Was a lovely friendly place to stay. Very comfortable and clean. They were very accommodating as we arrived after check in ad closed, all we had to do was call ahead. Plus they kindly offered us bikes to use to cycle into the town

We recently stayed in a twin room with shared bathroom. We were very impressed with the quality of the accomodation for the price we paid, great value for money. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly, and even gave us a lift to the bus station when we had to leave. Although you need to be aware it is a 20 min walk to the town centre, it is a nice walk and the owners do provide bikes free of charge. Great guesthouse, would definitely stay again!

Stayed as a couple over the Splendour in The Grass 2012 period and found the place very relaxed and comfortable. It is very 'homey' with shared bathrooms, living area and dining area but never feels like a backpackers, instead it feels as though you are in a better than average BnB. Grace, one of the junior managers is an absolute delight and is genuinely helpful and friendly with local tips.etc

Cleanliness and servicing is of a very high standard, one of the only negatives would be perhaps them starting the servicing very early considering the lack of soundproofing (which we were told is being fixed asap!) so apart from being woken early by other guests and vacuums, both of which will probably be solved very soon - it was a wonderful place to stay, far enough out of Byron to feel quiet and secluded without being too far out to enjoy the fun when you want it. 10 min walk to city centre...

All up - a great little secret getaway, set apart by its friendliness, helpfulness and unpretentious charm

Byron Springs is tucked away south of the town center which is a bonus if you want a good night sleep. This B&B is extremely comfortable with all the modern touches of a country cottage.  Although we spent one night, we could have easily spent a few more nights.  The open plan setup allows you to lounge comfortably in either the living room or the balcony.  The continental breakfast is sufficient to kick start your day, and there are lots of other options in town as well.  The bedroom we were in was extremely spacious and comfortable with clean sheets, and the room was upkept with the bare minimum to keep it uncluttered but functional. Overall I would highly recommend this B&B over the other bigger and less intimate resorts for the good value we paid.

We arrived late in the evening in the dark and rain. We were so happy when we made it to the guesthouse. A note with our key in the room was left for us, all very easy! The room was lovely beach style with its own balcony and clean as was the bathroom - it was huge! Breakfast was nice with fruit, cereal, toast and tea. Free wifi also!

As its a little walk from town (around 20 mins), its much quieter but also everyone was very social, cooking and eating together. Our bus to leave Byron was not until 9pm, but the guesthouse kindly let us stay and use the facilities throughout the day.

We would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Go with a double room and private bathroom.
