Value for money!
Paddy is a great host.
The fact you can walk to town and the beach is great - even able to go back and make your lunch to save some $$ then head back to beach!

If there was to be one negative out of an enjoyable stay - is the fact there is only a fan rather than an air con so in the peak of summer the rooms may be a tad warm ??

This is a great and informal place to stay in Byron. Also If the hotels are out of your price range this is a great alternative. Paddy is friendly and helpful, once we were shown to our cabin we didn't need to contact him until the day we left. When we did leave he let us leave our suitacses in the house before our airport pick up, which was really helpful. The cabin itself is large and spacious and has all the amenities you might need. It also has a big balcony. It is only about 10mins walk from the beach and in the Byron Bay town. Its quiet and peaceful and perfect for a romantic getaway.

We were given a warm welcome by Paddy and shown to our cabin. It is in the owners back yard. It was well equipped with a microwave, toaster, kettle, sink and cutlery with all the essentials such as washing up liquid, tea towel and dish cloth which is convenient in self catering accomodation. Ther was a double bed and a large sofa to relax in while we watched the flat screen TV. Byron Haven is a little outside of Byron Bay however only a 10 minute walk. We stayed two nights and paid $220 however we had to go and ask for extra towels on the second day, which I felt was a bit of an inconvenience especially as it was expensive. However I would recommend.

Lovely. The cabin itself (one of two) was situated in the owners back garden of a very quiet and private road in the heart of Byron Bay. Basic kitchenette with all the utensils and equipment you need for your meals. Lovely layout. Open plan with plenty of room to breathe. Very clean and welcoming and the owner gives it a special personal touch. He even came to pick us up in his 4x4 when we stepped off the bus from Brisbane. Overall a very happy experience and weekend. Well done Byron Haven!!
