“Quaint but very Modern, a Cosy Escape”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 February 2014

Having stayed here for a few nights with my Partner - on recommendation from a friend, we found this little gem to be a perfect escape which is situated in a nice area close to the town.

It was like a home away from home, it had everything you needed there facility wise, also it was very clean and well kept, with a certain stylish look.

There was a great service/communication with the Hotel Manager, who was very friendly and welcoming - who also gave us recommendations for activities and things to do in the surrounding area.

We would most definitely return if we came back to Byron Bay, Fantastic place.

Our stay here was wonderful. The manager made us feel welcome from the moment we got there. Helpful with outing suggestions and very friendly. The room was good, clean but cosy. Very modern, and wasn't at a bad price either. Well worth a stay.

I have found nothing unsatisfactory about our stay. The staff have been more than helpful and made us feel very welcome.
The location of the lodge is perfect for strolls into town or the beach and the Sunday markets are located just two blocks from the lodge.
The rooms aren't huge but more than enough to move around they offer very modern fittings and a lovely bathroom and kitchenette.
The security is very impressive as each room,as well as the front gate, has keypad locks which removes the worry of carrying or infact losing a key!
We would recommend this lodge to anyone visiting Byron bay.

We stayed in the Garden Suite at this great little place over the Christmas break on our way up to Noosa and was so impressed that we stayed again on the way back down, only this time in the beautifully appointed Grand Suite. The place was immaculately clean and maintained. All fixtures and furnishings were modern and new but also held a sense of history and originality. Staff were very friendly and the keyless entry made accessing our room very easy and stress free. Overall an amazing stay. We will definitely be returning to the "Haven".

Staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions of places to eat.
Rooms were clean and tidy but very small and the furnishings were lovely and modern. We had no room to walk around our suitcase, we were told we could unpack it and put the suitcase away but you had to lift the suitcase quite high for that which isn't always an easy option. The toilet right next to the shower was very cramped. The most spacious thing in the room was the shower. The high ceilings were the only thing to make you feel less claustrophobic.
Not a whole lot of privacy either as our only window faced onto a walk way used by people staying out the back!!!

The room here was lovely and cosy and in a great location, not clearly advertised it was a room in a house type setting, not great for couples who are after a bit of privacy. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice place.

Hi haylokay1 ... thank you for your feedback and positive review. We do pride ourselves on customer service and cleanliness so your acknowledgements are greatly appreciated and warmly received in this regard. We are also pleased you enjoyed our close proximity to Byron township and beaches. The overwhelming majority of our guests often express their surprise and gratitude for our location, we are in a great spot. In response to your concerns ... The suite you stayed in was our most affordable suite, and as such, has more shared areas than other suites at Bayhaven. We do aim at offering a sanctuary specifically designed for couples, however if this was not to your liking and you are after a little more privacy, may I suggest next time you book with us you look at other suite alternatives such as The Superior Suites, or The Grand Suite which does not share with any other guests. Unfortunately some booking sites do not clearly state that we are a B&B/Guesthouse. I can assure you this is just as frustrating for us as it is for our guests. Dealing with these international sites, Expedia, Agoda, Booking.com etc to express our concerns and have them update their content often ends with assurances but with little or no results. The way the internet is these days, we find we are on sites that we are completely unaware of and it is a full time effort keeping up with it. Rest assured we are on a constant vidual for such misleading representations and welcome any information that assist us in rectifying this problem. Thanks again for your constructive feedback and the opportunity to clarify for all future guests.
