the front desk manager and her husband are lovely people,,,,,they make an effort to make things work for their guests,,,,,with that said ,,,,this place isn't worth the money they charge,,i was given a price of 160 for the weekend nights and 145 for the weekday nights,,when i questioned my bill i was told that wasn't the case and they charged me more,,,,i know it was,,i have everything written down ,,,the internet was not working the majority of the week i was there,,i understand things happen ,,but the staff was unwilling to bother the owner to see if the technician could come sooner or perhaps answer some questions by phone,,,,the relief manager,,lee,,said ,,i can't call them ,they pay my wages,,she was clearly unwilling to even attempt,to call,, finally after complaining the regular manager,,called and the internet apparently had been not working for a few days prior and they were aware of that ,,i spoke to other guests and they were told ,as i was,,it works very well on the lower floors,,,,this was frustrating as it happened every day ,,and the owners refused to see if the technician could come sooner,,,thats the story the guests got,,the hotel pool isn't how they describe it,,it is very noisy ,by the street and a tiny shallow pool although it is clean, this hotel is not worth more then 100 ,dollars a night,,they have to be reminded for shampoo and soap daily ,,they empty the trash ,and will clean toilet and make bed if you ask ,,,they refused to confirm my airline ticket for me,they said "you have a phone ,you can do it" i have never been told that at any place i have stayed especially when the internet has been not working,,,again,,
perhaps my expectations are a bit high for a "motel"but this place is not worth more then 100 .night,,there are many other nicer motels that are less costly and nicer,,ie the waves,,the hisbiscus,,,,i was a pia client about the internet ,,but other then linda and nigel ,the new trainee marianne is fine ,, the front desk help is not up to par, when you ask for service its fine,,housekeepers are sweet ,,i didnt mind the music from the rest next door,,i liked it but if you want quiet at night ,then it prob won't be to your liking,,,,the location and linda and nigel are the positives about this place,,except for misleading about price and computer,,,,room size is fine,,dvd library is good, laundry prices are fair,

stayed here 3 nites
great location only minutes to town and across the road from the beach
rooms were clean and at a very good rate
only down side is the cars are parked close to rooms so ask for a top floor
otherwise based on value I would stay here again

I stayed here for 2 nights.
I arrived early and they were really helpfull, getting my room ready so that i could move straight in.
The room was lovely - id requested and first floor room as i was travelling alone, and this was no problem at all.
The pool is small and next to the road, but when the beach is just accross the road i doubt it gets used that much - its a nice place to go and sit later in the afternoon and relax with a book.
The staff are lovely and nothing was too much trouble.
There is wifi, and i was lucky that it worked in my room, but it worked best in the reception area.
The hotel is really well located in Byron, but far away enough from the noise of bars and restaurants.
There is a nice looking restaurant next door which had music on most nights.
I would definately stay here again

We stay for 3 nights for a friends wedding in November, so as you can imagine Byron was very busy. The location was quiet and relaxing but close enough to walk to Tallows Beach and the main drag was a short stroll away.
Room 16 is quiet and well maintained with recent renovations, everything was clean tidy & comfortable.
The staff were very hospitable and advised on lot's of activities.
Would stay here again and recommend to others.

Room Tip: Room 16 is tucked away at the back and very quiet.

My Partner and I stayed here and him and I had such a wonderful experience. The Owners were so welcoming and warm, the rooms were just right for what we needed for the night, clean, tidy and comfortable at a really reasonable price and minutes from they Main Street, beach and restaurants. Will definitely be back to stay here for sure.

Stayed here for two nights. Great location really close to the beach and rooms are modern. Staff are very helpful. The only and very slight down fall would be the pool which is right beside the road so when you are trying to relax all you can here is traffic. There is a restaurant attached, I never when into it but it seemed to be very popular and always had a live musician playing in the evenings. A great place to stay while in Byron bay

We stayed here for a weekend in the family room even though we were four adults holidaying together. The place was such a great find. It is one block back from the beach and an easy stroll to the main centre of town. The owners were so helpful and lovely. Our room was spotless and well maintained. The family room came with a small self contained kitchen, seperate lounge area and our own balcony. I will definitely be staying here again. It was a wonderful experience.
