The studio apartment was great with the extra living area space with the day bed and table and bar fridge. A separate entrance off the front verandah was a bonus.
Virginia was very friendly and helpful. Guesthouse outside living areas are very relaxing.
Short walk into town to shop or have something to eat from the wide variety of cafes and eating places.
Also just down the road is the Pighouse flicks to see a movie and then be able to eat at the Brewery right next door to the cinema.
The beach is close by and next to the surf club. Other beaches are a short drive or longer walk - The Pass - a great café.or Wategos and walk up the path to the famous Byron Bay lighthouse to see the whales and get a coffee from the café.
I always enjoy a trip to Byron, such a diversity of people and activities. Now I have experienced Barbara's Guesthouse I look forward to a return visit and stay

Virginia is a very helpful hostess and made us feel at home. Comfy beds, great shower, well equipped kitchen, serene garden setting with an outdoor shower, but noisy occupants at 4 am, I guess Byron's a place for the youngies.
June was too cold to swim and Byron a little too crowded for us middle-aged travellers.
Drives to Bangalow, Newrybar, Alstonville and Mullumbimby plus the Old & Gold Brunswick Heads mega garage sale highly recommended. Great food everywhere,

Room Tip: The studio is the most comfortable accommodation

First of all I would like to underline the kindness of Virginia, the manager: sunny, easygoing and lovely lady! The room was very cosy and clean. The outdoor area a little paradise where you can enjoy your breaky. Walking distance to restaurants, main beach and clubs. Byron is excellent vibe

My husband, daughter and I had the most wonderful time when we recently stayed for 5 nights at Barbara's and couldn't recommend it highly enough….(except I don't want it to get so popular that we can't get in when we want to go next time!) The house was immaculately clean, the shady, well kept verandah I could've lounged in all day. The proximity to town is brilliant as you can stroll in anytime but come back to total peace and quiet at Barbara's. Imagine being able to shower under the sun or stars in total privacy…bliss…what a unique feature. We even had Easter eggs on our beds…a thoughtful touch by the delightful owners.

My wife and I unfortunately only got to stay at Barbra's for the one night, but the next time we head to Byron we will defiantly be booking again. Very clean, quite, friendly and an easy stroll to the town or main beach.
