Overpriced considering you cannot sleep at night. Noisy location beside nightclub. Typical of Byron Bay, suggest if holidaying keep driving to Tweed - more choice and better value and facilities!

Motel had standard facilities on offer.

My partner and I have stayed at this property twice over the last month and we cannot get enough of the place, we are already planning out next overnight stay.

On the first occasion we stayed in a loft room. What a wonderful way to relax, looking out of our room over the pool towards the ocean. We didn't want to leave the room, the view was all we needed!! We found the hotel to be very quirky and extremely clean (kudos to house keeping). The upkeep of the rooms is incredible considering it's an older property, they were also good size for a couple or even a small family.

The Hotel is also very central we didn't use out car once, it was a hop, skip and a jump to everything. And for an added bonus the pub is just next door - best beers in town!
The staff were always courteous and polite from the beginning till the end and they were very knowledgeable with regards to Byron and the surrounding area's and the best spots to visit.

I have recommended this property to family and friends and cannot wait to get back to Byron for another weekend escape!!

I recently stayed at the Beach Hotel Byron Bay - and loved it! To be honest with you I didn't know they had a resort and was pleasantly surprised when I found out they actually have 25 rooms on offer.

We stayed in their loft apartments - which overlook their lagoon style pool and out to beach/ Julian Rocks.

Their rooms are obviously built in the 90's which is great because they are SO much bigger than the modern small boxed apartments these days. The KING sized beds were very very comfortable and the linen was of a high quality and didn't feel like hospital sheets like some other places.

A cool laneway is directly behind with great little restaurants and cafes too however we chose to have drinks at the Beach Hotel and listen to some good ol' live music!

Over all I was very satisfied, so much that I booked it for my birthday with a group of friends and very much looking forward to going again!

Room Tip: If you are a family I'd go with the loft style apartment main bedroom upstairs and kids beds dow...

Only good things to say about this centrally located, aesthetically decorated and charmingly staffed hotel. We hope to definitely return. Large, spacious rooms very suitably appointed for all our needs. Lovely pool and public areas all with a real local flavour. It is individual and low key. The staff were unobtrusive, informed, laid back and helpful, just the flavour for this town. The interiors were tasteful with low key design details that said "stylish and confidant" without being demanding. A special thank you to Sue at the front desk who made my boys and I feel so welcome and at ease from the moment we arrived.

We booked this last Thursday night in a hurry and we regretted not heeding the reviews on trip advisor.
This review is pretty similar to the bad reviews!

I think this hotel relies on first timers only as you would not willingly come back

The hotel was in need of a facelift 15 years ago. The noise in the room at night from the hotel nightclub was crazy. The pool photos are typical, it looks great, in reality it's not as per the photos.

It's location to the town and village is the only positive but it comes at a huge cost and noise from beach club

This hotel is overpriced and not impressive in the slightest.
When we checked out we were not asked how our stay was as is the norm in any place. This means they either always hear the truth or don't want to continually address the complaints.

Would I stay here again. Not a hope

We decided to eat at the Beach Hotel on our last trip to Byron Bay in June. We've visited the town many times in the past and have really enjoyed the ambiance of the pub part of the hotel. I had a Chicken Ceasar Salad ($21!) hoping that it would be worth the money. My husband had a burger with chips. Well, the chicken was bashed to within an inch of its life to make it about 3mm thick and then deep fried for so long, I was unable to cut it up. The bacon and croutons obviously came from a packet. They were uniform in shape and tasteless. The salad itself was a couple of lettuce leaves. My husband's burger was very dry, and the chips were cold. We got a beer from the bar and this took about 5 minutes because there was only one member of staff who was not in a hurry and 4 people waiting to be served. Staff came and went but never helped. The decor is very neglected. We will not be going back!

Great location. Rooms are clean and a great size.
The place is starting to get a little dated and could do with a renovation but overall was a great stay.
Big tick was a very comfortable bed and friendly staff.
