My partner and I stayed here for 1 night in May 2014, we found it a great spot, quiet, good value, clean with a comfortable bed and plenty of space. The welcome at reception was warm and very helpful. A bit of a walk to the town centre but with a car was no problem.

Always love Byron Bay and decided to stay 2 nights at this motel. The twin room was huge with heaps of room to move around and store items. Small kitchenette with microwave, kettle and toaster. Cutlery included also. Alarm clock and hair dryer are little extras that make the stay more special. Staff are extremely friendly and can recommend places to see and eat. This place will not disappoint.

This motel is just far enough away from town central to be clear of the metro-hippies while not needing to drive too far in for the restaurants, so a good location. The room was clean and comfortable for a stop over. It seemed to attract the more mature travellers which worked out well for us. There were no well-dressed men with sun bleached pony tails riding skate boards refusing to grow up, in sight, so that was a bonus.

Now we're off to the next town to find some fish that was caught in a net and some chips that were cut by a machine.

Back on track though, I'd stay at this motel again.. the next time I feel the need to rejoin the revolution.

It's always nice staying in Byron and this is a great low cost option.

Close to everything but far enough away that it's quiet.

Friendly staff and clean comfortable accommodation.

Enjoyed having a spacious room with large sliding doors to let in the night breeze.

LOVED this place! Granted this is no 5 star hotel, but the rooms were clean, the staff was beyond friendly and helpful, and the kitchen in the hotel was very helpful. We even rented a free DVD one evening! The hotel staff helped us book our kayaking trip, gave us helpful directions and maps, and was beyond friendly. We loved the free Wi-Fi and the ability to park our rental car right in front of our hotel. Air conditioning was perfect, too! One evening we were tired from a long day of activities, so decided to grill out. The grill was free to use and the hotel staff provided us with all of the materials needed to make our grill out a success! This place was perfect.

We recently stayed here, booking through bookings.com and requesting a studio room based on the photos on the bookings.com and the motel websites. Staff were friendly but the room we were given was not the same as the one in photos. It was scrupulously clean and modern but - a big but for us - the only window in the bedroom was small and when you closed the door you were in a box. It was not a room to spend time in other than to sleep, albeit a comfortable sleep. It wouldn't take much to make the window bigger, down to the level of the table in the room, and this would make a huge difference. Everything else was fine though a showercap would be appreciated.

Room Tip: If you want a studio room, ask for one with glass sliding doors.
