“Great stay, fantastic location, super friendly service”
Reviewed 19 February 2014

John and Jill are the most friendly and service-minded managers you'll meet. Super flexible and helpful with every request. We thorougly enjoyed our two weeks here in the middle of Byron, close to the beach, the bars and restaurants, the shops, everything. Very nice fully equipped apartments with airco and cable TV, free DVDs, and nice balconies. Free parking underneath the building. There is a cafe downstairs and a small pool which is great to cool off in, the kids loved it. We definitely want to come back. Dennis and Mette

This is the 3rd year in a row we stay at this place, always different apartment. This time we booked through Jill the manager directly and she is lovely. Portacot was provided. We got the renovated penthouse, well worth the extra$$ for a great fitout. Bathtub small and shower tiny. I was heavily pregnant and felt cramped in it. Kitchen had everything we needed. Cannot beat location. Walking distance to everything but quiet enough to have a relaxing holiday. Fans in room and AC in lounge. Managed okay in hot weather. Underground parking is great but beware the pool is like a small pond, not clean and not worth dipping in it, but why bother when the beach is so fantastic at Byron. My teenage kids loved the 3D TV in lounge and Austar is great for rainy days.

Room Tip: Ground floor apartment are great for families with prams, but you get noisy passers-by and can't...

Three adults enjoyed a week at Byron Quarter mid January 2014.
John and Jill were fantastic to deal with, and made booking directly with them so easy. We flew to Ballina from Melbourne and used a local transfer company to take us to Byron Quarter. There is a great coffee shop /cafe right below the accommodation, and was great for lunch when we arrived earlier than our check in time.
The location is great, even though you are not in the main hustle and bustle (which around January is a good thing!) you can walk to everything in town.
The complex is a few minutes walk from the beach and town centre and has secure undercover parking. Our apartment was clean, spacious & well furnished.
Aldi is a 3 minute walk, Woolworths around 10 minutes. There are plenty of good restaurants walking distance, or you can enjoy dinner on your own balcony, which we did with take-aways some nights.
Next door to the apartments is also a yoga centre, and around the corner is a great little book shop and cafe.
Not to mention the endless shops and markets you can browse at.
We would definitely stay at Byron Quarter again when next visiting Byron Bay.

Jill and John are the most personable, accommodating and welcoming hosts. You get the feeling that they are there because they genuinely want you to have a good time and feel comfortable- not because they are doing a job. The location is great- not on the main street but only 2 streets back so it is quiet at night but accessible to everything during the day with a quick 30 sec- 1 minute walk. I would stay here again in a heartbeat !

We enjoyed a relaxing week at Byron Quarter Apartments, managed by Jill & John Harrison who impressed us with friendly proficiency and made us feel most welcome. Jill & John's knowledge of Byron Bay included excellent recommendations to great restaurants; yoga/pilates classes, scenic walks and drives to small outlying villages.
The complex is a few minutes walk from the beach and town centre and has secure undercover parking. Our apartment was clean, spacious & well furnished and included an outside deck with BBQ facilities. We would high recommend this holiday accommodation. Peter & Susan

John and Jill were welcoming during our stay. The apartments are located a short walk to many of the best restaurants and to the beach. "Close to the action, but not in the action." When booking, I called direct and was offered a discounted rate for our longer stay. Our room is located on the top floor at the back of the building - very private and quiet. The secured underground parking is also handy. John and Jill were also accommodating in allowing us a late checkout so we could go sea kayaking on our last day. I would recommend this to anyone wanting basic facilities but a great location.

Room Tip: Call direct and discuss your needs with the managers.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in mid December. John and Jill were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The location is perfect, short walk to shops and beach.
Under-building parking was very convenient and appreciated.
The building itself is very dated. The apartment was spacious but old fashioned, and felt very grubby. There was dirt and grime on many surfaces in the bathroom and living areas. A little more attention to detail with cleaning would go a long way.
We had the room over-looking the 'hippy house', which gave some entertainment, although was very noisy through the night. I slept very poorly here due to night noise.
I also found it odd that there was no guest information book... Zero info on how to contact front desk, or access the wifi and charges involved, or pool open times, or just any of the info that guests like to know.
The pool is incredibly small and runs along side of a cafe dining area, no privacy at all. I did not see anyone use the pool.
Unlikely that we would stay here again.

Thanks for your comments - they're always welcome. Starting from the bottom - the compendiums we inherited have been removed, but the new ones which will be in wooden boxes are still not available. WiFi was commissioned a few days before you arrived, and we normally run through your free tokens on arrival. Similarly we have new directional signs which have now been installed. All other information is available on the brochure rack next to the office, and as on site managers we are there 24/7 to personally help with anything. In addition - every apartment has a phone - and it's easy to relay any concerns or make enquiries.

The swimming pool is only a plunge pool, but it's heated, and children love it and use it often, as you noted when you dined in the on-site cafe Succulent, which closes at 2:00pm every day. Mind you - the beach is only 3 mins walk, as is the town. It's a pity you won't be back to see these improvements for yourself.
