We arrived without booking and selected the Bank because of the outside traditional country pub appearance of the building. We were welcomed and accomodated in various room configurations according to our wishes----some light sleepers wanted single rooms, wary of potential snorers , others did not care and were happy 2 or 3 people to a room, Regardless. the cost was $40 per person per night. Rooms were basic but comfortable in country pub style. Hot showers and toilets are shared and are located in the several corridors----all of these comforts worked well. The hotel bistro served gigantic sized typical country pub meals e.g Mixed Grill, Fish and Salad , etc. Service was,at all times, friendly and helpful. After these hearty meals we adjounred to the bar for drinks. There is a main bar with warm wood fire and the ubiquitous large TV ,, a large lounge bar with pool table and juke-box---children could probably come into that section with adults. We were very impressed with the publicans unsolicited offer to securely lock up our motorcycles for the night out the back of the pub---they were under-cover, safe and off the street. As it turned out the rooms were quiet for sleeping---but we did stay up very late! In conclusion, this is a warm and welcoming traditional Australian country pub. I would especially recommend it to travelling motorcyclists as the owner maintains a stable of race (dirt) bikes and relates to motorcycling needs.
