Just had a group of friend s up for the weekend members of a walking club. They were all delighted with the accommodation, food and wonderful hospitality from Tracey and Bernadette. We had great walking in the beautiful Barrington area and were able to relax in comfortable surroundings on our return. Cant wait to do it again! Hills Hikers.

We recently stayed at the Settlers Arms and had a great time. Brilliant ensuited room with a lovely sitting area for guests where you could have coffee tea etc. They even had a box of toys and books for kids to play with. Dinner on Friday night was delicious I had a beautifully cooked piece of salmon. One of the best country pub experiences I have had.

Looking for a place to eat. Asked a local (who was at another pub) where best place to eat was. She recommended the Settlers Arms. Took a few goes to find as it is not on the main street. Had an excellent dinner on an outside verandah complete with fairy lights and a view over the neighboring park. Dining room was also busy. Had planned to camp but inquired about accommodation. Room was large and very comfortable.Shared bathrooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was included and also very nice (self serve continental). One of the owners introduced herself in the morning, she was also the chef. Has owned the pub for less than a year and putting a lot of work in. It shows.

We came across the Settlers Arms by chance and had a wonderful dinner there. The staff were friendly and when we asked about possible accommodation we were shown very spacious and pleasant rooms upstairs. We had already booked accommodation elsewhere that evening but would definitely consider staying there next time we travel to Dungog.
