“Was suitable”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 July 2014 via mobile

After some last minute changes we had to stop in griffith in the middle of the school holidays, we found a room which was suitable to our requirements. When arriving late at night, there was nobody else staying there and we where in the transportable building. The room was decent, large with 2 bedrooms and 4 beds. No problems with anything in the room.

I recently stayed at the Bagtown because I used to stay at the Bagtown several years ago. I have relatives in the area and I used to go down regularly so this was a trip down memory lane. The memory was greater than the actual visit. There was only one other car in the car park - it looked so forlorn. The staff were friendly but hadn't told me when I booked that they had no restaurant or breakfast facilities. How hard is it to provide a carton of milk and a small box of cornflakes, a couple of pieces of bread and small packets of butter. All the equipment was in the room but you had to supply your own food, yet there was no discount on their prices for not providing this service. They could have opened up the restaurant, it is already there on the spot.
They are one of the most expensive motels in Griffith but offer absolutely no service beyond a room which is stuck in the 80s. A sad demise for a motel that when it opened offered a lot more.

Room Tip: Ask for a good room otherwise you won't get it.

We found this place catered to our needs perfectly. The lady on the front desk very friendly, the room was spacious and clean with comfortable beds.

The flat screen TV perfectly positioned and the kitchenette was handy as we had 2 kids with us.

While the room size was reasonable, the rest was appalling. I expect to stay in a room that has at least had a good vacuum. Bathroom was filthy, stains on the basin & floor. Air conditioner turned on, but under no possible configuration it was able to deliver some heat for the cool winner evening! Bed was so old, felt like it was purchased 45 years ago. The highlight was being greeted by 2 spiders and a giant moth. This place is a real turn off, and I will never stay here again.

Due to other motels being booked out had to take a room at the BagTown inn.. From the minute I entered the room was very disappointed the room was very old and out dated..
Beds old and saggy bathrooms dated and un clean.. Very noisy and a lot of workers standing out the front of rooms smoking.
Really would not reccomended this motel at all.

It is a bit mums and dads in decor, and the bathroom needs a renovation, but generous room size and comfy bed. Close to the Sports Club, and at the start of town coming from Yenda. Others are closer to the centre of town, but quite relaxing.
