“Our dog loved it!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2014

We were travelling to Canberra with our Dog and needed a pet friendly place to stay. It was concerning that google maps says that they are 2 hours from Hay, more like 25 minutes. Driving in was an exciting experience. Open the gate, close the gate x5ish. When we arrived at the station we were welcomed by a friendly Dingo named Sarah who hopped in the car when I got out!! She belongs to one of the stationhands and she is a delight along with their resident old boy, Jack who knocks on our door asking for treats. My fault I had a backpack full of treats and they knew it. They have a separate kitchen and we were supplied with fruitcake and real coffee! No instant coffee!! YAY!!! Did not expect to get real coffee and my stay was just made. I didn't have to drink instant coffee, yuck! Breakfast ingredients are supplied. Our dog loved Jack and Sarah the Dingo. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

A short, but very pleasant stay at Corynnia Station. Just getting there is an adventure in itself. We booked at this Farm Stay as a half way stop between Sydney and the Barossa Valley because we didn't want to stay in a boring motel. Julie and Bruce were very friendly hosts and in fact we had the pleasure of joining them for a meal at the local pub. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. We regretted only staying for one night as there were lots of places to explore on this interesting property. A great experience .

Thank you for your very nice review and we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay in our special part of Australia on our station. Our dinner with us at the Carrathool Pub was an added pleasure.
We always aim for 5:5 reviews and would very much appreciate any feedback you can give us as to what we might be able to refine, in your view, that would earn a 5:5 rating. We never like to rest on our laurels!
Again, a big thank you for visiting us at Corynnia Station and taking the time to post your review.

My husband and I had one blissful night at Corynnia Station with Julie and Bruce. The Station and the Pink Palace were immaculate with tremendous charm but what sets this stay apart is the hosts. We were so warmly welcomed and involved as part of the family with a walk with Julie's adopted baby kangaroo, adorable pups and drinks and great conversation round the campfire. Our only regret, that we only stayed one night. We truly want to go back and would recommend Corynnia to all.

We spent five nights at Corynnia Station. Julie and Bruce were amazing hosts of an amazing property. With two young children 6 and 4 the experience for them, and us, was wonderful.

Plenty to do and explore and plenty of open skies to relax and do nothing as well. With a working farm such as Corynnia Station it opened the kids eyes, and ours, to a true country experience. Bruce and Julie are more than generous with their time and their incrediable property. Highly recommended for anyone wishing to stay in an amazing part of Australian on an amazing property. A special place well done ! Heath and Renae

Hi Heath, Renae, Gemma and Noah
A big thank you for such generous feedback and we thank you for taking the time.
We were so thrilled to have you all stay during your extended school holiday visit. It was great to see the kidlets enjoying the farm - especially the puppies. Only two to go to their homes now. Have to love a campfire too!!!
We hope to see you all back here some time and hopefully some of your Sydney friends might be keen to share such an experience too!
All the very best from us all here including Jack, Booie, Teddy and joey Lizzy (who is really growing and thriving now).
Kindest regards
Julie and Bruce

We found Corynnia on Outback Beds. We were Julie and Bruce's first guests to stay travelling with a caravan. Bruce found us a delightful spot away from the main homestead where we could "free camp", but still be within 2 kms of the homestead if we needed help (which I did on a couple of occasions). The sites they have available do not have any services - which is exactly what we wanted.
Bruce and his son Hamish started shearing the day after we arrived; they welcomed us to the shed and walked us through shearing processes, including their amazing use of tracking technologies. My wife was invited to stencil the first bale of their wool clip for the season - a nice touch.
We stayed with Julie and Bruce for four days and utterly enjoyed ourselves - great location, great hosts, beautiful gardens - all on a productive, hard working property.
Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

Mike and Nellie - a big thank you for such a wonderful response and congratulations on being our first caravaners!
How fortuitous you were here for shearing. You will be pleased to hear that about 4/5ths of the wool sold yesterday and went very well between 30c and 70c per kg above valuation so we are happy and the overall prices at the moment are quite good (but always looking to do better of course).
Rice harvest has also been completed and averaged over 12 tonne to the ha dry which was our best result ever. There will be a shortfall in supply so hopefully the price we receive will increase too.
Hamish sowing oats and Bruce watering the rye grass so busy as usual!
We certainly hope to see you back here one day.
Thank you!!!

Our duo of cars travelling from NSW to South Australia had selected Corynnia Station as our halfway stopover.
We were pleasantly surprised by this unique property. Julie was a friendly and helpful host.
We stayed in 'Maxies Retreat', which was well appointed, clean and comfortable.
A stroll around the lovely gardens had us greeted by a bunch of energetic pups, very cute.
A camp fire and BBQ in the evening was perfect to unwind.
We allowed time the next morning to tour the shearing sheds and get a glimpse of station life. We would recommend Corynnia for short or long stays.
Well worth the drive in off the highway. Thank you.

Tired of motels, we now hunt for better options. Out there on the wide brown plains somewhere between Hay and Griffith is an oasis. New born puppies, an injured eagle, white peacocks, and Lucy Loo the bottle fed kangaroo, all add to the fun and games. Bruce's farm tour is an absolute treat and not to be missed. Brilliant sunsets, star filled night skies and mornings that offer the promise of another glorious day. A paddock picnic on the swamp saw us high and dry, with an array of delicious home cooked food and great company. Thinking of adopting Julie and Bruce, so that I can call in more often.
