“Warm and welcoming, like staying with good friends”
Reviewed 24 April 2014

Kate and Steve, like their property, were warm, welcoming and full of character and charm. My husband, 11 year old daughter and I felt like we had their beautiful cottage all to ourselves, despite there being two other couples staying at the property. Our 2 bedroomed unit included a bathroom with underfloor heating, a power shower, stand alone bath tub and an abundance of hot water. The master bedroom was light and airy and overlooked the back garden. The second bedroom was cosy but big enough to sleep three. Breakfast included freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit, yoghurt, eggs, toast and any kind of tea or coffee you could wish for, all served on the verandah. The B&B is very clean and has a large collection of books and DVDs, as well as boogie boards and a bucket and spade for the beach. Its in a great location, just a couple of minutes walk to the shops and restaurants and Huskisson Beach. It is also ideally located to explore some of the other beautiful beaches around the Jervis Bay area. We took our bikes out on a couple of occasions but on our final day, Steve brought us to and from Hyams Beach and showed us a village where kangaroos sleep in people's gardens. Having cycled down from Sydney to Huskisson on a cycling holiday with Australian Cycling Tours, we stayed in various hotels along the way (Novatel, Mercure, Sebel) and we all agreed that the B&B was the best in terms of cleanliness, value, location and friendliness.

I had a weekend at the Huskisson Bed and Breakfast with my wife and we both can't wait to return. Such a homey atmosphere, gracious hosts, a beautiful B&B, and a beautiful area too where we were able to relax in the quiet surroundings. Breakfast on the veranda was amazing as well, sitting watching the sun rise as we tucked into some deliciously prepared breakfast. We'll be booking to go back as soon as possible! Oh, and don't forget to request one of Steve's coffees or hot chocolates too!!

We enjoyed 2 wonderful nights at the B&B after our wedding - as a little mini-honeymoon - and it couldn't have been more perfect! The cottage is gorgeous - and our room was beautiful with a big bed, large bathroom, beautiful artworks and a vase of flowers to welcome us. The whole place is very homely - but tasteful and refined - with a lovely touch of Australiana in the decorative touches which makes it truly authentic and true to its setting in the gorgeous natural wonder that is Jervis Bay. The B&B was sparkling clean and tidy - with a lovely kitchen and common lounge area to relax in, or make cups of tea. The shower had a lovely strong pressure (good for washing off after swimming at the beach nearby). Everything was close by - and we had a lovely time in Huskisson visiting the little shops, cafes and restaurants, walking along the coast and even driving a little further to visit Vincentia and Hyams Beach. Everything is beautiful and peaceful and relaxing - with sweeping ocean and national park all around. Definitely a wonderful place to stay for a little getaway - and only a few hours from Sydney - we will definitely be coming back. We loved meeting Kate - she was so helpful with recommendations and suggestions for the local area. Her hospitality was second to none! Thank you Kate - we will return!.

Unfortunately we only had time for one night.. We had a lovely stay, Kate and Steve were very nice and hospitable, they even helped us with some mortgage paperwork, plus they gave us some nice recommendations for the drive to Eden, which were lovely and they weren't in any of our 4 travelguides. When we go back to Jervis Bay for a longer stay, we will definitely come back here.

We spent two very relaxing nights at this wonderful B&B in Huskisson. It's a very spacious property with lovely ambiance. There is a wonderful living room, peaceful verandah, comfortable bed and very welcoming hosts (and pets!). We'll be back.

It is the second time we stay at Kate and Steve B and B with the family.
Lot of character, a real beach house touch, perfect location. Rooms are spacioud and well equipped.
Breakfast on the deck is a great way to start the day.
We'll be back.
Highly recommended.

Excellent value in this tidy, quaint B&B. Kate & Steve make a genuine effort to look after you beyond the standard B&B services. The rooms are well equipped & comfortable. The TV has HDMI input & the DVD player has a USB input (useful on rainy days). The B&B is literally 5 minutes walk (at snails pace) to town where the restaurants are surprisingly high quality. Breakfast includes your choice of eggs on toast & continental selections (cereals, fruits, Kate-made marmalades etc). Most importantly, the coffee is good! We would definitely stay again.
