I had a 3 Night stay at this Motel. The Area is very nice (nature)...i had have no car, so i walked 18 KM (9Km each direction) to Kiama (to cheaper supermarket). There is a supermarket next to the Pub, but for me as a backpacker it was to expensive. so i could enjoy the nice nature on the way to Kiama. The Owner of the Pub is a very friendly and helpful guy! the cleaning-woman is also very friendly! the room was clean. on the friday it was loud inside the house, cause of the full visited pub, but thats no problem. It´s a old house so the wall is thin. there is also a good bathroom and a terrace. THe Kitchen is also good! fridge, microwave etc.

I had a lovley stay there! would go there again!

Room Tip: My Pubroom was 70 AUD a night...not the cheapest for a backpacker. But it was the only free accommod...

Stayed overnight and took the stay and Jamberoo Adventure Park package for the family.

Good sized room with 2 double beds, quite a warm evening and the AC was set too warm and couldn't be altered, room was quite stuffy as a result as there is only a small bathroom window that could be left open.

great location in regards to Jamberoo Recreation Park - just 5 mins up the road by car.

Nice village and the staff were very helpful, particularly the lady on the bar who prompted us to get to the bistro before it closed at about 8pm - we were at the pub on a week night.

Johnny Warren - memorabilia was great that is all around the pub ( The publican is Johnny's brother) and great to read up on one of Australia's porting greats.

Room Tip: The upstairs rooms had a balcony with a sliding door that would allow for the window to be opened fo...

Does what if says on the can! This is pub accommodation with shared bathroom facilities, but good value for the money and a clean, comfortable, albeit small, room.
Friendly staff and good food and drink at reasonable prices, combine to make a good choice night stop if passing through the area.

We recently stayed at the saleyard motel as we were in the area for a wedding.
We stayed in room number 2.
It was lovely and clean and just what we needed.
We had a meal one evening that had been organised as part of the wedding celebrations, the meal was lovely.
The Pub staff and patrons were very friendly, there is so much to look at on the pub walls and ceilings we had a lovely 2 night stayand the whole place exceeded my expectations.

My Son and I spent a weekend at the quaint little village of Jamberoo which has a golf club/links and stayed at the Jumberoo Pub around from the 1850s.

The owners are very friendly. A room at 35A$ per person is very economical and good value. They are clean with two common bath/toilets, a large balcony and a kitchenet.

The Pub has character with plenty of locals watching various sports on the many TV screens around. Attached Restaurant provides good pub grub but close fairly early.

Unlimited golf at the Jamberoo Golf Club after 2pm costs only 15A$ per person.
There are plenty of tourists spots nearby. We visited the Benedictine Abbey which has a well stocked curio shop of holy things made by the Abbey Nuns.

Room Tip: There is SaleYard Motel attached with higher priced rooms with ensuite.

Driving around the national parks of the Southern Highlands over Easter, stopped at the Jamberoo Pub. Excellent historic pub (built in 1857!!) with friendly staff, OK slightly pricey pub food and plenty of activity and chatter in the main bar. The back room is dedicated to Johnny Warren, the Socceroo with some excellent personal memorabilia. The small Saleyard Hotel (8 or 9 rooms only?) was decent value at $80 for the Easter night (I was given a decent size room despite being a single) with a quiet comfortable well laid-out room well off the main road and separated from the hotel (the hotel also has cheaper pub rooms upstairs from the hotel for $35 per night). Jamberoo is a great gateway to the Budderoo National Park and Southern Highlands with excellent rainforest walks and waterfalls.
