we recently stayed on a power site - understanding it was xmas - not understanding the $20 per night increase in tariff - unjustified greed - working from a caravan & camping book it informed us pets were allowed - was told no pets allowed during holiday time - book not mentioned this - but allowed to stay for one night only to find couples on other on sites had pets with them - one having 2 labradore dogs - would have liked hot water for the 4 minute shower instead of 2 minutes in a much needed upgraded amenity - do not allow seniors or age pensioner disc on saturdays??? - too crowded with cabins - small sites - far from impressed - will not be returning - and have told others caravanners also -

I write to commend the excellent service rendered by Clinton, the park manager when we stayed here for 2 nights. Not only he gave us some good directions / places to visit, he even told us which spot on the beach to fish!! He gave us what fish is in season and what bait to use and where to fish!! Even gave me some hooks and a lure to use to catch whitings!

It's simply superb, and my family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kendalls.

Thanks Clinton!! God bless!

Room Tip: Go for the spa beach fronting cabins! Book early !!

We stayed at Kendalls twice on our recent holiday. 3 days then over night on the way back. We chose it because of the reviews here. Powered van site.

At Katoomba everything was hard, here nearly everything was easy. The amenities need rebuilding (run down) but were acceptably clean and the whole park was in keeping with a very reasonable tarriff.

There is no playground but you don't need one with a spectacular and child friendly beach right on your doorstep.

The whole "feel" of the park was really good. The staff were extra helpful and friendly, all the guests we met were happy.

Lots of little things, like the speed humps being less severe. The sites are small (there were some big ones over the back) but well laid out. Power is close at hand and the boss enjoyed the free TV connection. The kitchen was good. The park is very quiet so sleeping is no problem.

Room Tip: We had a powered site in the row right behind the cabins. This suited us well but bigger vans would...

My wife and I have just returned from a 2 night stay in a beach front spa cabin.

Pam was very friendly and welcoming upon checking in. My wife and I look a lot younger than what we are (late 20's early 30's but both look early 20's) and we often find we get a bit of attitude upon checking in so it was a nice change to be so welcomed. The grounds are well maintained and facilities are clean - up there with the best in NSW.

We stayed in a beach front spa cabin. The cabin itself was very large and didn't feel like a cabin at all. Pay TV, a wall mounted TV in the bedroom and a dishwasher were great added luxuries. I was also surprised at how clean and well maintained the cabin was. The spa bath (which can easily fit 2) was deep and and very relaxing. There is a walking path directly in front of these cabins that gets busy (people just can't help gawking in as they walk past!) and this was the only negative for us as ideally we would have liked more privacy so would probably stay during the week next time or in a cabin further back from the beach.

Another great positive was there was no rowdiness at night.

Kendalls beach in general seemed to be quieter that other beaches in the area although it was overcast with a few showers when we stayed so I'm not sure what it would be like on a sunny day.

The spa cabins in general are great value - where else can you stay in semi luxury on a beach front for under $300 per night? Overall we had an enjoyable time and would stay again but as a couple we would go back during the week. Families would find this holiday park perfect!

My partner and I go camping here once every 2-3 months to get away from the city. the non powered sites are in the best location 20m from the beach. it has a shared kitchen, washing area and clean bathrooms .
The first time we went my reservation wasn't entered correctly so was never in there system, luckily it wasn't booked out. Mistakes happen and the service was made up to us when a worker had a good 20 min conversation with my partner about the best fishing spots around.
Overall a great little escape to get away from the big smoke.

We had a gret time, very friendly and helpful staff, very clean amenities. Kendalls beach is beautiful, close to kiama highly recommended for campers or caravaners. Sites are flat and shady with pay tv available (if you have. Tv). Easy to find. Not much more I can say highly recommended

My husband and I decided to reward ourselves with a weekend break at Kendalls Beach. This was our third stay and a little different as the previous times we'd been as a family. We were fortunate enough to stay in Heavenly Heights, their signature cabin. The weather was brilliant so we spent our days going for long walks around beautiful Kiama and sitting on our deck overlooking the beach. In the evening we made good use of the gas log fire and the spa bath. It was so restful with the sound of the ocean and no deadlines.

The cabin itself is very well appointed. My only minor criticism would be that the some of the cupboards in the kitchen and bathroom are getting a little tired with veneer starting to peel off. As mentioned, just a minor thing. The bed was comfortable and the lounge furniture had been replaced since our last visit and was also very comfortable and practical.

Highly recommended.
