“Perfect Island holiday”
Reviewed 11 November 2017 for a stay in November 2017

Location is excellent, walk to most restaurants, cruise/boat operators, bike hire and shops. I think it's the best positioned accommodation on the island. Rod the owner will happily drive you to the restaurants that are too far away to walk to, and the restaurant will drive you back. Hire a bike and you can get to every part of the island. Beautifully appointed throughout, and the welcome pack of goodies was a very much appreciated touch. Even the hair dryer had a diffuser on it, a big plus from me! Free WiFi and foxtel included, so you can still get emails, no mobile phone coverage on the island.Tranquil setting, although on Lord Howe everywhere is peaceful. Laundry room facilities are very good, and you can grab some fins and a snorkel from there to explore the many spots around the island. Please remember to respect the residents and consciously help keep the island pristine by separating and recycling your waste properly. Rod gave us an impromptu tour of the island's waste facilities on our way back to the airport. The islanders have set up an extremely impressive waste management system. You can walk along the beach and not see the mess we get on our Australian beaches. The photos of the cottage are exactly how it is in real life. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Rod and Lisa, you have done an amazing job on this property.

“Home away from home”
Reviewed 23 October 2017 for a stay in October 2017

Such a cute well presented modern cottage apartment with everything you need for a perfect break away. The hospitality was second to none with Rod and Lisa offering their kindness, local knowledge and assistance without hesitation. The cottages are really located in the perfect spot in the island, nestled close to the western beach and a short bike ride to all places of interest. Although a week away from phone service was appreciated, the WiFi and Foxtel was a nice-to-have following some unpleasant weather. A few goodies in the fridge on arrival was a nice touch and we appreciated the chance to mix with the farm animals and veggie garden. We even got the impression from the locals when asked where we were staying, that it was indeed a “fancy” place to stay. Close to Wilson’s bike hire so you can get mobile as soon as you arrive, or alternatively take a cold beer or wine from the fridge and enjoy some cheese and crackers on the porch whilst enjoying the local bird life that bounce around the cottage gardens. Would definitely stay here again and have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation.

“Perfect Getaway”
Reviewed 11 October 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Lagoon Landing is in the perfect location to enjoy all that Lord Howe Island has to offer. From the moment we were picked up from the airport, nothing was too much trouble. Rod and Lisa are wonderful hosts and made us feel completely at ease. The fruit, cheese and wine were a lovely welcoming touch as well as the added extras to make our stay special and memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this island paradise and are already planning our return trip!

“A tastefully decorated, well-equipped beach cottage in a beautiful setting.”

The location is great. The cottage, one of two, is in a rural setting - with chooks and a friendly horse in the paddock next door - yet the beach is across the road and the main town within walking distance. This attractive, beach-style accommodation has a well-equipped kitchen that was stocked with some welcoming wine, bread and fresh eggs. We can highly recommend 'Lagoon Landing' and would love to return!

“Lagoon Landing on Lord Howe - Definitely one for your bucket list!”
Reviewed 2 September 2017 for a stay in September 2016

We spent 5 days at Lagoon Landing for our 40th wedding anniversary. This accommodation is perfect in every way. Ideal for a couple or four special friends. Decor is exceptional and host Lisa's attention to detail is faultless from our welcome at the Airport to the well stocked pantry & fridge. Nothing is a problem. Location is ideal - close to shops & restaurants. So special to watch the sun go down over the bay with a glass of wine on our own little bench across the road. The only problem was we didn't stay long enough!
