Pinetrees restaurant is outstanding. We were there for 7 days & all meals were great - breakfast, lunch & dinner.

We stayed at Pine Trees for a week, and the highlight was the food. Each time it got to 7pm, we were on tenterhooks. We were never disappointed. Simple, clean, clever, creative, tasty cuisine. Well done to the chef and all the kitchen staff, the meals were spectacular.

Had a dinner here one night but were not told it was a 3 course set menu dinner. Overall considering it was 3 courses (plus coffee and cheese), value was pretty good as was the meals. just a bit of a waste if you are a small eater like us!

We arrived the restaurant around 6:30 and spent some time at beach shed for one of the most beautiful sunset in the world. It was great.
We made a move to restaurant about 7:30, I have to say the food was not very nice. We had 4 courses menu and they were all small size. I felt hungry still after I had soup, main(hapuka fish) and chocolate brownie. The dessert was the star of the night, rest of them were below average. We won't recommend here for dinner. Pandurus is much better.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
I think they need to work on menu and food.

Thank Allstar Alan C

4 course meal ham and pea soup, without the ham, so little of it I had to tip the bowl over to get the spoon wet
Main course veal would not have been enough to feed a mouse
Dessert was the best chocolate tart a piece of pastry with chocolate ganash on it 150mm long wedge and a tea spoon of ice cream
.
I should not have paid
went home to were we were staying and made a sandwich
