We seemed to have everything we needed apart from one small thing - a tray to carry things onto the verandah. But that'sall!

This is a relaxing little getaway spot right on the lake.
The rooms are spacious, clean and show consistancy in theme decor (old world charm). The staff accommodated our late check-in with a note on the reception door, we found our cottage open with the lights on for us (have to organize this the day before). It's true what other reviewers have said their does seem to be alot of 'rules' but I guess this seems to work since the cottages are kept in such good order. We didn't walk into town but heard it's an easy enough 45 minute walk. Next time we'll try Bella Vista B&B (in town) so we can walk everywhere during our stay.
Tip: Dine @ Wheelers Oyster Restaurant (Pambula) - beautiful food!

Set away from the busy town centre with exclusive lake-side jetty. Easy walking track into town. Well maintained gardens and pool/spa area including a tennis court. The owners were very friendly and extremely helpful, The rooms were roomy, clean and plush with consistancy in theme decor. A great place to stay if one wants to have a quiet, fuss free stay.

My husband and I just spent 2 nights at Robyns Nest and would recommend the self contained cottages as a lovely place for a getaway. The location and grounds are beautiful, the cottages are of a very high standard and Robyn and her cat Elsie are very friendly.

The cottages are very presented with everything you need, beds are comfy and everything is of a very high standard. Enjoyed the tennis court and pool and the boardwalk into Merimbula.

The size of the cottage was surprising as it was much larger than I was expecting. There was not a great deal of detail about the cottages on the web site therefore I did not know what to expect! I am very rarely pleasantly surprised with accommodation (in fact I am mostly disappointed as most places over-sell themselves), however in this instance I was more than happy with the room sizes, the bathrooms and the kitchen size and inclusions, particularly as the price was very reasonable especially for the time of year. The most wonderful aspect is the location - the surrounding lake and bushland as well as the manicured gardens are spectacular and very well maintained. I will definately be back and am looking forward to staying in the guest house with hubby.

I, my wife Eva and two kids; Michael 17 and Oliver 11 spend 8 beautiful days at Robyn's nest in Merimbula. The hosts, Robyn and Michael were very kind, helpful and friendly. We would like to thank you both for the warm welcome, your kindness, smile and support throughout our stay. We were looking for a place where we could moor our 6.5m boat and we've chosen Robyn's nest with a private jetty. The place exceeded our expectations. Usually we spend holidays overseas in 5 star hotels. We felt right at Robyn's nest, the cottage itself was very clean, equipped with all we needed. The fridge, washing machine, microwave were updated in brand new condition so was the linen and everything else in the cottage. Most motels / resorts in Merimbula are in close proximity to the road but Robyn's nest is located away from the noise, down the private road which takes you down the hill right by the lake where Robyn's nest is located. I recommend taking the boardwalk which leads you from Robyn's nest to the city along the lake edges where you can take some nice pictures. Speaking of walks, take the walk from the Regent Park up the hill overlooking the waters. I and Michel dived to the Tasman Houler which is located on 30 meters. It's an easy dive suitable for a wreck first timers. Diving from the rocks near wharf is tricky and special care need to be taken while going out of the water; always position yourself so you can maintain contact with rocks at all times. Oliver enjoyed the pool and I with Michael enjoyed the 75cm flatheads we cough on the lake and a few Tuna we've taken while trolling on the open. We spot dolphins while having diner at the aquarium restaurant on the wharf. We recommend the place for a dinner and coffee. There are no waves on the lake at any time so we were able to tow an inflatable behind our boat providing tons of fun for our kids. Merimbula is a quiet place where you can recharge while enjoying beautiful main beach with good waves and estuary system with safe shallow crystal clear waters. We recommend Robyn's nest for anybody who value good service, good facility nice views, peace and quiet but also good variety of outdoor activities related to ocean, beach or lake.
