We stayed at Bannisters for 4 nights in the Pinnacle. This is a luxurious and huge apartment with beautiful views and thoughtful features. We did have some trouble with the airconditioning, but otherwise we loved the space, including the fire and heated floors. Bed was very comfortable and the main bathroom was lovely. The only incongruous feature was those horrible coat hangers that you can't remove from the rail - very down market for an otherwise up market space. We ate at Rick Stein's restaurant twice for dinner and the food and service were both spot on. We also had cocktails and a pizza at the pool bar. That was a really happening place with a great vibe, very friendly service and excellent cocktails. All highly recommended for a great getaway from Sydney

Enjoyed a two night stay in Spa Rooms. The rooms are beautifully appointed and clean, although you can still see the skeleton of the original motel. The pool bar is excellent for a casual drink or meal and the Restaurant delivered a superb dining experience as expected. The staff are all very attentive and knowledgable about the surrounding areas. Great getaway for a couple of nights.

We had a two night stay at Bannisters in a spa room. The accommodation was very good, as was the service. The staff were informative and friendly in all areas of the hotel. I would recommend this venue for a great getaway for a few nights or more. We will be returning in the near future.

Room Tip: The spa room on the ground floor was great for access and outdoor area and view.

We got off to a rocky start when we were allocated a different room to what we had booked - but it just got better and better from there! Really appreciated the 'apology upgrade' to a suite which surpassed our original booking.

The Tasman Suite has a lovely sophisticated seaside decor and 180 degree views to die for. It was so lovely waking every morning with the sun streaming in the full length windows, and falling asleep each night to the sea sounds. Little touches such as the underfloor heating in the bathroom, the electric blankets and the efficient air-con helped keep the Winter chills at bay. Breakfast was included, and while simpler in offerings than some other 4 & 5 star venues, there was enough to choose from.

Because we stayed Monday/Tuesday night, the restaurant was closed. Not wanting to venture out to surrounding villages in the evening chill, we were limited to the pool bar menu offerings. While such fare would suffice for poolside and lunchtime dining in warmer weather, perhaps a few simple additions could be offered on Monday & Tuesday evenings and/or in Winter to save one from burger, chips or pizza e.g a soup, a simple pasta.
Bannister's has a great location, attentive staff and a gentle elegance about it. Well worth a visit for a couple of days to really explore all that is on offer.

I've never written a review on trip advisor before but I had such an excellent stay at Bannisters Hotel I felt i should. For starters the natural beauty of the surrounding area is just incredible and to have such an amazing hotel there is great. I went with my wife and we were immediately blown away by this amazing pool with a view that has to be seen to be believed. The rooms are the nicest i've stayed in and the bed was the comfiest bed i've slept in.
All the staff are very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for you. The service was perfect from start to finish.
We ate out on a couple of occasions at the beginning of our stay but tended to eat in the restaurant at the hotel. The food was really tasty. Genuinely couldn't beat it with a big stick.
Am struggling to think of any real negatives to balance this with but honestly there were none... If you're trying to decide whether to book i can not recommend Bannisters and Mollymook in general highly enough. Peaceful, Beautiful, relaxing.
Will definitely be back.
