Two couples stayed here for a wedding. We found Hanks on a nice quiet street with some sheep across the road & kookaburras in the trees..both house & yard are clean, neat, modern interior with linens and towels (high quality Sheridan!) supplied. Didn't use the rumpus room but it was well stocked for kids and rainy days. Kitchen had every appliance needed for easy cooking as well as a pod coffee machine. We didn't go with children, but the internal staircase is not child-safe. I received prompt responses from Rachel and key collection was super easy. It is a bit of a hike up a steep hill (approx 20 mins) to get to the beach/ golf club- would not want to walk there from Hanks in wedding clothes/heels...
We really enjoyed our short stay & would book again if we are in Mollymook.
My family and I (including 6 month old baby and 6 year old Golden Retriever) recently stayed at Hank’s for 8 nights in February.
All of us had a wonderful time and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The property is very modern with plenty of natural light and all of the comforts you could wish for including a coffee maker, Weber BBQ, (that’s a breeze to cook on), a stereo system in with connectors for a number of different media devices, foosball/pool table and table tennis.
We have hired a number of holiday homes in the past but this one by far surpassed them all for the simple fact that all guests' needs had been considered (it’s clear that it used to be a family holiday home). There was a vast selection of board games, books, magazines and DVDs to keep us occupied on a rainy day (though we only had 1). We enjoyed many nights down in the rumpus room playing games and watching movies.
A very handy house manual had been thoughtfully put together with all of the appliance instructions (e.g. how to use a convection oven) as well as brochures for things to do in and around Mollymook and the greater South Coast.
My family and I joked at the fact that our every need was catered for (needs we didn't know we had until we were there). There were labels on the doors and windows advising of how to lock/unlock them, how to get a good cross breeze, etc. Labels on the BBQ, washing machine, etc. were also very helpful. Just when we thought we needed to figure something out on our own (e.g. how to work the washing machine), we’d find a handy label with a hint.
The property is immaculate and extremely well appointed with lovely towels and bedding, beautiful gardens and maintained to a high standard. Having a bathroom on each level was very convenient. The only drawback to the modern bathrooms was the fact there was no bathtub. We were creative and used the kitchen sink to bath our 6 month old. The property has heaps of off street parking as well as a great fenced yard for pets and children.
The house is located on the corner of 2 quiet streets just 1km from the beach. Although there is a bit of a hill along the way it was certainly not a difficult walk. We enjoyed strolling to the Newsagent for the morning paper and then across to the beachside takeaway shop for ice cream. The location was perfect for us and different members of our group alternated between walking down to the beach with our Golden Retriever for an early morning swim to driving down (ample parking available at the beach). Both worked very well and provided extra flexibility for each member of the family.
I must say that the entire booking process was seamless from the directions to the house to finding the key box, etc.
Hank’s at Mollymook provided us with 8 glorious nights of easy living and relaxation. It was the perfect base to enjoy a relaxing family holiday.
