“Unique venue and yummy food!”

We visited there with friends in late 2013. It was a place that they often come to for a drive and to partake in the freshly baked scones and delicious coffee.

The train carriages have been restored and are full of memorabilia, arts and crafts. We were delighted when we arrived and took a tour through the carriages after our yummy morning tea.

It's well worth the lovely drive.

Red Rattler Gallery is a "hidden gem" tucked away at Dungay on the road between Murwillumbah and Currumbin Valley....Consists of 2 restored 1928 railway carriages, one housing various artwork by local artists, the other a relaxing place to enjoy an excellent coffee and FANTASTIC home made scones ( cooked in wood fired stove), jam and fresh cream and various slices...the menu is not huge but the quality and service is excellent...a very popular spot with those cruising the Gold Coast / Northern NSW hinterland either on a motor bike on car...we make the pilgrimage at least once a month for a coffee and scone "fix", and we make a point of taking all our Interstate and Overseas visitors there for a pretty unique ( imho ) experience...if you are in the area, check it out, I don't think that you will be disappointed.
