We stayed at the Archer Resort from the 6th-10th Jan 2013 in a pool side family room, after reading some of the reviews I was preparing for the worst but need not have worried, yes it is a little dated but it is still clean. We booked here to watch our son play in the Bradman Cup cricket carnival, unaware that most of the cricket teams playing in the Bradman Cup were also staying here and the only noise we heard was the cricket bags being rolled out each morning around 7.30am. The Resort was packed out but the service we recieved was excellent in all aspects. The rooms were serviced daily, continental breakfast was included and the staff there were always friendly & helpful even though they were run off their feet at times, and we were well looked after at the bistro and could not fault the food. We even arrived home after the 42 degree day to find our aircons had been put on for us.

Room Tip: I saw many of the rooms in a variety of locations in the Resort and they all looked great, we were pool side and thought that was a great location with kids.

Stayed here twice this year and both times no worries with check in or rooms. Rooms are spacious and clean big enough for a family of 4. Rooms a little out of date reminded me of staying at nans house!!!
Bistro & pub next door offer great discount for resort occupants. Food one of the best pub meals we have ever had. Would stay again reasonable rates and continental brekkie included

Stayed here for 1 night in June, of course it was a Saturday night. Convinced a few other families from our sports club to stay as well, As they say you get what you pay for.
Food in the bistro was good but the rooms are old and tired. I also had the problem of being woken up after midnight by the couple next door. Its a 24 hour check in I believe and that means trouble!
The disturbance went on for hours so no sleep was had by us. I would definitely stay elsewhere for the extra money next time.

I agree with the other review, it is named a resort but not quite what the name implies. Okay to stay overnight, room is oldish style, but quite roomy and tidy. The mattress is good and the free breakfast is okay - continental, but if you prefer hot brekky, add $5 for choice of 3 hot items. Quite a big dining room as it also caters for tourist groups. The receptionist was kind enough to direct us to dinner place elsewhere in town, even if it has its own bistro. The resort is located opposite a cemetery, across a busy Princes Hwy. It was quite noisy at night, sounded like a bikie gang was in town, but it settled after a while. We had a good night's sleep and on our way to Kangaroo Valley and Fitzroy Falls next day. Good location if you want easy access to these places and Jervis Bay.

My partner and I definitely see the Archer as a resort. Our family poolside room seved us very comfortably for 3 nights. The pool is great, and large. Staff are welcoming. Breakfast is first class, in a nice breakfast room, with (I think) the same excellent chefs who work in the associated pub a short walk away on the grounds. The pub has bistro discounts for guests, and great specials daily and for lunch.

We love this place. It may be owned by Woolworths but that seems ok. It has been recently renovated and everything is in good fettle. We see all pricing as unexpectedly inexpensive.

Good choice for accommodation for anyone - wish we had more time here!
