We stayed here for 2 nights and had the privilege of enjoying their first hosted wedding! With the very friendly staff and great cocktails there was nothing they couldn't or wouldn't do to accomodate.
The ceremony was beautiful with Simone and her team turning on a fantastic and functional display, providing a weekend of pure bliss for all.
Extremely child friendly, plenty of activities (pool table, large games room, heated pool and sauna), large drying room for snow gear as well as great rooms and breathtaking views from every aspect of the building.
With the easiest access to the mountain this made opportunities such as night ski'ing a must to try.
Large lounge area with natural wood burning fire places which was a great place to unwind
An experience not to be forgotten and to be enjoyed again!
Many thanks!
Craig

Generally very satisfied. Better experience than a more expensive hotel we had stayed at previous season. Friendly, helpful, clean. Cosy Austrian atmosphere. Good food .
At times slow service in restaurant.

Room Tip: Had a ground floor room. Very comfortable. Very small bathroom.

It was lovely to be greeted by the hotel manager and our family could check in early even though they still havent ready for business for 2015 skiing season (we were there the very 1st day Perisher resort opened for 2015 season). I was showed around the hotel and showed where things were then taken to my room to find out the room got a fantastic view and a roomy private balcony overlooking Front Valley.
The room was warm and beautiful at night however during day time it could get really warm even hot for us. Bathroom floor was warm every time so very pleasant to the feet.
The fireworks view for the opening season added more wow factor to my family and we love the room view.
The hotel as well as others in Perisher village are outdated but kept clean. The swimming pool and sauna looked amazing but didnt get a chance to test them out.
Could be better if the room didnt get to warm or hot during day time (we did open the window but couldnt help)
The restaurant for breakfast on the 1st day was while slow. There was just one staff and he couldnt cope with the number of ppl were in the restaurant.

Room Tip: Room 213 has fantastic view but could be too warm during sunny day however if during mid winter it could be not that warm.

We spent 1wk at the Marritz in the last week July 2014. We got an upgrade midway through, initially we had a Junior suite which was crap... Terrible dbl bed and the bathroom was really old and had no heating, I think this was the cheapest which is why we picked it. Then our window got a crack so we got moved to a queen bedroom and my god this was so much more nicer! modern, heating in the bathroom, a very comfy bed and a view of front valley!

The Food from the restaurant was amazing and three courses, while the breaky was buffet or a la carte, We purchased our food plan which our accom though which was well worth it and I recommend otherwise it is expensive.

The marittiz is just back from the skitube so it is a little walk to the slopes or ski tube, but i think there is a free ride at certain times if you need it. The views are great and from the mountain the view of the place itself is great also.

Everywhere in perisher is quite old looking and over-priced I would have to say. It wouldn't be so bad if they renovated or if they dropped the price. But compared to the rest of the hotels I think we did well for value. And I had a hard time trying to find what hotels if any had a hot tub. marritz had a pool but only mildly warm, and a sauna. If they had a hot tub my rating would be so much more up there! great People and service, and it wasn't too busy while we were there.

Room Tip: Rooms higher then on the bottom floors are better, more modern and looked after.

Travelled with wife and 1 1/2 year baby and had such a wonderful stay at Marritz. The view from the room was magnificent overlooking the main lifts across the street. Friendly / helpful staffs and breakfasts / dinners included in the room rates were good. The rooms were big and bright. In all it was a relaxing stay and highly recommendable.
