Greengate B&B in Robertson may not be the easiest place to find - but well worth the search.
Incidentally it is off May Street, look for the long driveway that takes you to the front door where you can park. The building was designed by Tony (who showed us to our room), & built by Sue. It was a clean comfortable room with all the necessaries for a short stay - comfortable bed, small television with DVD player - easy chairs that can be dragged to the window to admire the rolling countryside view - we arrived in time to witness a beautiful sunset after a thunderstorm - pure magic. There is plenty of hot water in the extra large shower, plus tea & coffee facilities with shortbread biscuits for that little snack.
The morning arrived on a beautiful sunny landscape and Sue served us a very tasty breakfast - porridge for me & cereal for my wife, followed by bacon, eggs, toast, croissants with jams & tea & coffee, in the cute breakfast room with French doors opening out to a courtyard & a view to die for - tranquil fields, with cows grazing & birds chirpping - how peaceful.
It was with regret that we had to depart from this lovely B&B, but we have no hesitation in giving the experience a 5 star rating. Thank you Tony & Sue - hope we can get there again soon.More
