What a fabulous spot! Sitting behind the plastic blinds, under a gas heater, watching the surfers at the point, makes you appreciate where we are! Throw in a great coffee, some great scones , and it's a great way to spend a cold winters' morning! Definitely recommend , definitely go back!

The Cove cafe sits underneath the Reef restaurant trying to make the best of its small 'narrow' locale overlooking the Haven. The outlook is the best in Terrigal it is just a little squeezy.
Yesterday was a very chilly winters day with the heaters on and the cafe being full it was still cold.
The service including smiles was very good :o) (I paid a tip which is rare for the Coast).
Food was very good but the kitchen (9 of us) slowly delivered meals out and not all at once.
Coffee was good but not exceptional like the Surf Club.

Overall it was an enjoyable brunch but there is always room for improvement.

Probably best spot in Terrigal - can never tire of watching the bay and the bird life; This is a great community spot - dog friendly and the wait staff try their best. Unfortunately the food never matches the service and view. The special of Huevos rancheros sounded good - traditional Mexican food on a spinach tortilla but the execution was terrible - perhaps it was the pork that made the difference but it felt like just a lot of ingredients tossed together with no reason.Coffee is expensive if you get the small cup but if you get the larger mug, you los the coffee taste.

Unbelievable, tasteless, everything we had-bad.

mini cheese burgers for my daughter-how hard is it to do fresh simple tasting mince patties? These little balls of meat were honestly..... disgusting.

I ordered seafood chowder for myself, when it came out, thinking, yes, nice restaurant right on waters edge, fresh seafood ...... first thing I thought was, where's the rest of it at $18.50, was expecting something decent at least. Was served in a small entree size looking bowl, with about an inch of actual liquid in it, 1 x prawn, 2 x small mussels 1 x clam, oh & 4 x chunks of potato! That was a good filler to throw in there?....the broth was just tasteless, I can't say anything else about it, so much so, after 2 spoonfuls I couldn't even eat it.

My husband ordered prawn fettuccine, again really nothing special, just so tasteless I tried one of his prawns, just no flavour & the fettuccine, just a tomato base that tasted like something from a big batch for a canteen!

This place needs to look at who's cooking this tasteless food.

Besides the view, the glass of sparkling was good, that's where it ended unfortunately for us!

So disappointing, when we'd driven there specifically to enjoy a lunch out

Had a great coffee in a beautiful spot with friendly service. They even gave me a takeaway cup for one of the kids that could not finish it.
