Very pleasant seaside walk, lovely views, and great photos of the rather brief history of the settlement...

Good pathways right next to the water. Easy walking and very scenic. Worth the effort. Wonderful sea breezes.

“It's NEW & surprised us through its well planned development”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 November 2012

Why am I always the last to know? There must have been significant planning, work and cost in developing this walk?
It includes: pathway, boardwalk, beach, footpath, ocean edge, lake edge, channel edge connections with some great spots to stop, rest, relax or exercise.
We began the walk from The Entrance bridge, through the park, passed the Surf Club, ocean baths, to Toowoon Bay SLSC(stopped for coffee). This is the nicest part of the walk. Then we crossed suburbia, west, easily following signs and path graphical guides to the lake. Although the lake walk/cycleway has been well constructed it lacks the glamour of its ocean cousin. Council could assist by cleaning up a few of the small creeks & inlets & separating bikes & walkers. The walk continues passed a static exercise area and grassy parks to our starting point where it's easy to find a drinks and food!
Well done Wyong Council just don't give up now? There's still work to be done!

“Step back in time.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 September 2012

Walking along the boardwalk you will come across plaques which show historical imagery and writing about various historical aspects leading to the development of The Entrance as you see it today. Great photos and you can buy a book from the nearby tourist information shop if you wish for a keepsake. It's a glorious walk on a sunny day. The sparkling blues of the various waterways is balm for a busy soul.

“Shows the history, not the present”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2012

This was a special place where Sydney people could escape with close proximity and enjoy the natural delights of the coastal beauty.
The Heritage Walk shows the beauty of what was but it is hard to escape what is.
It is becoming overcrowded with too many high rise buildings taking away from the natural environment.
The shops and retail sector are more reminescent of a city suburban strip scene but at least the pelican feeding still survives - I am cosntantly amazed though how they adapt to the changes with daylight saving.
