Waldorf Apartment Hotel at The Entrance

Great location near the bridge ,pub ,restaurants etc .
Rooms are a bit tired and could do with a refurbish but all in all not too bad.
Free breakfast was adequate.
Overall probably not the best place to stay at The Entrance but for the money it did the job

Bathroom floor dirty,,shower curtain needs replacing. Poor layout, cheap and nasty furniture. Needs urgent refurbishment throughout.Expensive for what you get. Avoid this accommodation=much better value elsewhere.

Looking for a last minute 3 day break, during peak season, we ended up booking a stay at The Waldorf in the Entrance.
The place is well positioned and we paid the extra to get a sea view (which would have been more worthwhile if we'd had a higher floor rather than floor 4.
Nice big rooms, good location, but unfortunately let down by lack of renovation and maintenance and by poor beds.
The single beds would be fine for kids, but are not good for adults, the master bed was OK and the pull out from the sofa bed was very poor (and a real fight to get it out and back in).
There was a good size fridge and reasonable kitchen, the shower is over the bath and all the floor tiles are a dirty grey, which either makes them look dirty or hides how dirty they really are.
The hoteliers and staff seemed nice. With a good renovation - it might be a four star, but currently I'd have to be pushed to say it was even 3 star. Don't stay if you are looking for four star accommodation.

Room Tip: Only pay extra for the sea view if they guarantee floor 5 or 6, as from floor 4 you mainly see the...

Just had two nights on the coast to recharge and were pleasantly surprise by the Waldorf after reading some other reviews. Definitely not five star - but more than adequate for our needs. We had an amazingly large room - good kitchen facilities - only concern was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable, linens clean and we had a view of the water. Breakfast was included but a little disappointing - so many other great places to have breakfast or we could have cooked our own. Probably wouldn't recommend the cafe. The hotel had great parking facilities and was right near centre of the town - close buy for the pelican feeding.

You would expect the level of comfort would be the same as other Waldorf Apartments which I have stayed around Australia but I was wrong.
The room was very old and tired looking with scrap marks on the walls, the bed was a bit old and very uncomfortable.
If I need to visit the area again I will not be staying here again

There is nothing grand about the Waldorf Apartments but it certainly served its purpose for us. We were in town for a family wedding and needed a place that was accessible for my elderly mother and her sister. The staff were great in arranging a room that was on the level and easily approached. The two bedroom apartment was clean, there was a reasonably sized lounge room and good size TV and the beds were comfortable. The swimming pool isn't fancy but it was wet and welcoming on a hot and humid day. We had a very reasonably priced breakfast in the morning in the rather quaint cafe that is run by a very pleasant couple who looked after us well and did a very good bacon and eggs. This is not a place to go if you're after a luxury holiday but it is well located and reasonably priced for four adults sharing or a family with kids.
