We found this menu really interesting with such an emphasis on Australian produce and "bush tucker". There is so much thought put into the ingredients, the tastes and the presentation, that the whole experience was a delight. The prices are very similar to other restaurants in Thredbo and you really feel you're getting value for money. The Emu Rilette was superb, Buffalo Tenderloin, and the caramel mousse!! We had 3 courses and couldn't finish them all.
Segreto feels private, cosy and is a relief from the traditional "mountain food" served in so many restaurants in ski resorts. Next time I'm in Thredbo I'm definitely going back to Segreto it was great!

Segreto

Well if you are into Nouvelle Cuisine (minuscule portions) this is your place.

$22 for 3 teaspoons of gravlax (
Beetroot Salmon) was a little much or should i write 'not enough'. The total plate contents would not have filled half a shot glass.

The Entre Tortellini at $19 again 3 pieces done a little too Al Dente ( underdone) was a bit disappointing and not enough as 3 pieces of the stuffed pasta doesn't quite cut it.

Barra was good.

In brief, you need the full 3 courses to get a meal here so factor $80-$100/ pp without drinks or grab a pizza on the way home.

Not a good selection at all for vegetarians.

Those enjoying fine dining of this type should enjoy as the morsels were tasty but not fulfilling .

No kids menu.

Nice service, tiny place with average ambience and part of the Alpine Hotel operation. Seasonal only.
