“A journey back in time”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

Timbertown reflects the history of the Hasting area. The displays of replica historic buildings is good to show the life for the early pioneers. The live steam powdered saw mill, although not actually cutting wood for safety reasons is fantastic. The bullock team, horse drawn carriage and old steam train all add to the experience. Well worth the visit and an education of the past.

“Don't bother”
Reviewed 4 May 2014

I couldn't believe how rundown this place was, my young children thought it was haunted. Everything was overpriced, don't bother, drive straight through instead. Susan, G.

“Good day out with the kids overall”
Reviewed 23 April 2014

Went in there thinking $72 for a family pass was expensive just for a steam train ride. But we were all thoroughly entertained by the black smith, horse carriage, mini train rides, bull show and other buildings. Spent about 3 -4 hours easily!

“Sustainable heritage”
Reviewed 11 April 2014 via mobile

Great to see timbertown still going. A little quite mid week but we got so much attention from staff, we love the fact all there plans and activities are based on being sustainable. The gent on reception was honest and friendly. Will visit again for sure. It is exactly what they say it is..

“A great place to take the family”
Reviewed 5 April 2014

A great place to visit to see what is was like in the old days. Loved the steam train ride and visiting the sawmill with its steam powered equipment. The new waterwheel and gold panning area had recently been opened, it was good to see some new development taking place.
