My husband and I chose the Times House Inn, in Jim Thorpe, for a weekend away. Right from my first email Diane was wonderful to work with . I tend to ask a lot of questions and Diane patiently answered every one. We chose to stay in the "Overlook Room" . It was very spacious. It had a very comfortable sleigh bed and a sweet dining table set up beside a window. We were on the third floor and looked out over the town. The table was set with blue willow china and there was quite a variety of homemade sweets ( apple cake and cranberry muffins the first day and lemon cakes and scones on the second day). In addition there was fresh fruit and in our mini fridge there was juice, water, yogurt and fruit cups. Our host and hostess were attentive,, friendly and helpful . The room was spotless. The bathroom was located outside of the room, down a couple steps and a very short hall. The bathroom was for our use only and lovely robes were also provided to add to our comfort. The Inn is located within walking distance of everything. You should be prepared to go up steps. Staying with Diane and Chris was just what we had hoped for. We rode the Lehigh valley Gorge Trail 15 miles, attended a concert at the Mauch Chunk opera House, toured the Asa Packer Mansion, and ate at three different restaurants in town, and never had to drive anywhere. We definitely recommend The Times House.
