Great little town with a lot of history to see. Love the old homes and stores. You definitely take a step back in time. We wish we had more time to explore this town.

“A Fitting Memorial for a Great Athlete”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

The monument area is clean and has a good description of Jim Thorpe's life. Very tasteful but not overwhelming. The main drawback is that it is on the edge of Town outside of walking distance from the other main attractions.

“Educational”
Reviewed 2 August 2014

While passing through Jim Thorpe, PA we felt it was only fitting to stop at the memorial for the man for whom the town was named. It was enlightening to read about all that he accomplished. As others mentioned, you can read all there is to read at this well maintained memorial in under 30 minutes. Definitely time well spent.

“Great Memorial”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

If you are in the Jim Thorpe area take the time to visit the Memorial. It shows the legacy of the man for which the town was renamed in honor of. It will take less than a half hour to read everything there and learn about the man. A must visit if you are in the area.
