Hot?, tired of browsing shops? This is the place to have a seat by the window in air condition comfort with an ice or other drink. Check out the antique laces on the tables or in the windows and watch the shoppers walk by as you si your drink.

This is your alternative to bad service at Strange Brew. Seriously, skip it and come here. I came to Alice's for the first time last weekend after YEARS of rude, unappreciative "assistance" from the owner of Strange Brew.

The atmosphere in Alice's is cozy and comfy. They serve frozen drinks and decent coffee and snacks. The service was great; pleasant, friendly and helpful. I was surprised that the three folks working there were older. It was such a pleasant experience, we went back twice in the same day; and I'll be back there in October for another frozen Thai Tea!

I sincerely hope they do well because Jim Thorpe needs them!!

Ice CREAM!! Best flavors ~ Morning Rush ( coffee and real oreos), Sweet and Salty (vanilla w/chocolate covered pretzels, caramel, peanut butter, chocolate swirls), Shandy Cake (yellow cake with fudge, peanut butter and chocolate chips in vanilla ice cream), Chocolate covered Strawberry (you get me, yes?) all made of whole food ingredients by the Ice Cream Lab. My personal fav was Banana Peanut Butter, made of REAL bananas (no artificial flavoring) and hunks of real peanut butter. Two generous scoops for $3.50. I ate there every single day of my trip. The owners were awesome.

LOVED this place! We stayed in Jim Thorpe from Sunday afternoon until Thursday morning, and came here every single day (except for Thursday). The first day (Sunday), the kind owner came and sat at our little table tucked in the corner and told us all about the town, where the best restaurants were, and what to see. We had our map spread on the table. The second day, he remembered us and asked how Moya's was. The third day, I met his adorable 3-month puppy (who slipped away from the back... they were mindful of people with dog allergies or phobia's). The fourth day, I went in again for that excellent iced coffee, but it was just after 5:00, and they were closed. The whole town tends to close at 5:00, strangely. But this little place is a gem. I wish pups were more accepted in shops, and we Americans didn't have so many hangups. Dogs attend restaurants in Europe. I mean, if screaming babies and grubby kids are allowed, why not polite pup dogs? Just sayin'....
