“Very Good”
Reviewed 26 August 2012

The tour started with a short movie and a pleasant greeting from the host. The museum contained a lot of information about Jim Thorpe, its people and the coal industry which made it go.

After the movie ,we toured the museum. The host was very polite and offered his services throughout.

The fee is nominal and you can spend an hour or so by reading all the displays.

“One room and a movie”
Reviewed 28 July 2012

We are always glad to help support those trying to keel the local history alive, but this museum was pretty lacking, It was mostly pictures on walls and a short movie that took up most of the visit. I would do it just to support the locals, but don't expect too much.

“This gives you a good history of Mauch Chunck”
Reviewed 22 July 2012

While not a large musuem, there is a lot here to give you a good feel for what life was like when Mauch Chunk came to be. The 15 minute film helps explai things and lots of articles to look at and read when it is over.
