The pacific hotel at yamba is a rare iconic Australian pub perched on the cliffs at yamba overlooking the sea - the view is outstanding and the food is just about as good as you will find anywhere in yamba... not that there is much competition when it comes to gastrotomical pursuits in the Clarence Valley... The duck was great and locally caught fish too.. A good place to sit and eat gazing out to sea ... rain or shine - a must for any visit to Yamba

This is a must visit on any trip to Yamba even if you only go for the drinks. The food is very good

Find me a better view to have lunch! Amazing. Like your sitting on a cliff top with glass. We are regular travellers to Yamba from Brisbane. I have been to this restaurant 7-8 times. I always get the prawn chilli linguini - it is DEVINE. ok so it's a little pricey but why do you expect with a view like that! Can't wait to return. Go Pacific Hotel!

Older style pub...could do with a make over.
The outside deck is difficult to get to when the dinning area is busy.
Views are excellent and that's the main attraction here.

Pros: Fantastic view. Sadly that's all it had going for it.

Cons: Went there for lunch on a Monday during school holidays. The service in the dining area was disinterested and unfriendly (the bartenders were lovely). The menu is grossly overpriced for what is a fairly run down hotel. We order the "iconic Yamba fish and chips" $18 and the 200gr steak with pepper sauce $22 The fish was mullet, probably the cheapest and nastiest fish on the market! It was over battered and the oil clearly needed changing. The steak was ordered rare, was served medium-rare. The "pepper sauce" was the most bizarre and unpleasant concoction I have ever eaten! It wasn't a pepper sauce at all, it was a standard gravy with heaps of curry powder and a handful of peppercorns. It was basically unedible. Both meals came served with chips (ok) and a very sad, day old, overdressed side salad.

I would HIGHLY recommend that you have a beer, enjoy the view, and then eat elsewhere.
