We stayed here with my daughter's gymnastics team for two nights, and the host, Dave, and his niece, were wonderful. Very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast, while nothing fancy, was hearty and delicious. The rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable and warm. We had the whole house to ourselves and really felt quite at home. It really was a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I highly recommend staying here!
With that said, be prepared. The manor was purchased at auction in 2003 and up until that time had fallen into disrepair, and unfortunately all of the original antiques were sold off as well. There isn't much left from the Kane family. Dave has been lovingly restoring the old home and has found wonderful period pieces to replace what was lost, but it seems like he is doing it himself so things may be slow going. There are some items people may find an annoyance such as some bathrooms don't have outlets, the lighting in the rooms is outdated, there is some peeling wallpaper, and the grounds are in definite need of some TLC, (i.e. crumbling driveway, old sign), but overall the home is beautiful and I would not have changed a thing about our stay, and like I said, the owner is slowly restoring the Inn. It was great! Don't let the exterior fool you. This is a wonderful place to stay!
