I highly recommend Pamela's for a winter escape to the Hawk Mountain area! Arriving at the B&B (with husband) after a snowy cold hike we were greeted and welcomed by Randy and shown our rooms in the anniversary suite. I decided on this suite after Pamela discussed what we wanted and she appropriately booked this room. The suite included a bathtub for two in a private sitting room which was complimented by soaking salts, candles, matches, wine glasses and cork-screw. And candy and homemade cookies....The rooms are in the main house but they have a private staircase and were quiet. The bed is comfortable and the separate bath (from the bathtub room) has a wonderful and roomy shower. Breakfast in the morning was fresh, high quality and tasty. But most importantly the hosts Pamela and Randy are friendly and we enjoyed a relaxing morning with both. I highly recommend Pamela's and hope to return in the future.

Room Tip: Talk to Pamela about what you want/need.

My husband and I needed a day to relax and get away from the city. We have never been to a B&B before, and came across Pamela's website. Im sure glad we did! Pamela was so helpful over the phone and answered every question I had. When we finally arrived, her husband Randy greeted and welcomed us! As we were walking to the main house, I noticed that they had a waterfall pond! I love the sound of waterfalls, I was suprised to see it as it was not on her website. Absoultly beaufiful! We stayed at the honeymoon cottage, and it was very nice, cozy, warm and perfect for two! We even had
a view of the waterfall pond! Pamela gave us a quick tour, of the other rooms, shop, and her yoga room where she gives classes to people in the community. Pamela made us a delicious breakfast and delivered it to us! Loved every minute of our time there & will never forget this pretty unique place! Looking forward to coming back soon!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this well maintained B&B. The place has all the charm of Victoriana, with some very personal touches, such as Celtic and other artisanal decorations - and the hosts are not at all Victorian!

Breakfast was very tasty and high quality, served in a classy dining room.

Some considerations:

Pros: lovely rural location, beautiful grounds, sensitively restored and exceptionally well maintained historic home, impressive bathroom, quality organic bathroom products, excellent healthy breakfast - organic ingredients and freshly baked products, welcome snack (best cookies ever!), engaging hosts, cute dog

Cons (some of these could be pros): rather dark-looking over-decorated interior, several prowling outdoor cats

Room Tip: Highly recommend the suite with the two-person jacuzzi

My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary with a stay at Pamelas Forget Me Not, in the anniversary suite. The suite was in the main house but still very private- a separate staircase leads up to a bedroom, jacuzzi room with extra twin bed, and a bathroom. Everything was top-quality- soft fluffy towels and linens, fixtures, toilet and sink in the bathroom appeared brand-new. The shower was great :-) Everything was spotlessly clean. Our host and hostess were very pleasant and eager to provide whatever we needed for a comfortable stay. We look forward to going back someday, and would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy some peace and quiet in the country.

We had a fantastic weekend getaway staying in the anniversary suite in the main house. Not only is the place beautiful with Victorian charm interspersed with Celtic flair but the breakfast was lovely and Pamela was a wonderful hostess answering every question we had and giving us restaurant tips and activity ideas. The only small downside was not being able to get a cell signal on the premises. Though with cable TV, a good size hot tub, a beautiful garden, an adorable pug named Panda and Hawk Mountain right down the road, we really weren't missing our phones.

Room Tip: The anniversary suite is excellent, but the road noise can be a tad loud if you want to keep the win...

My son and I enjoyed an overnight stay at Pamela's Forget-Me-Not B&B in Kempton, PA earlier this month. We stayed in the charming, rustic Carriage House and I was a little concerned when we walked up a wooden wakway to our entrance. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the actual space where we were able to have some privacy while sleeping, yet could hang out together in the living area. It was very convenient for Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, and the host guided us to a nice bistro style restaurant in nearby Orwigsburg where we both enjoyed out meals. Pamela's home-made breakfast was made to order, and served in our little oasis. It would be a great place to stay a little longer, if you can, because there is a little kitchen. WhIle neither my son or I are tub fans, if you are, there is a nice spa tub en suite.

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend while visiting relatives nearby. We stayed in the cottage, but saw all three rooms. The cottage is separate and private, small in a good/cozy way, with large jacuzzi tub and small private patio. The carriage house is very spacious with a larger deck/patio with a view, and we would probably stay there next time. The two-room suite in the main house also looked very nice. All are beautifully decorated and updated with modern conveniences.

Pamela is an excellent host, providing extra services and suggestions for places to visit or eat when needed, but not intruding on our privacy. The excellent breakfasts are served personally to your room, or you can eat in the dining room or on the porch of the house. The grounds are beautiful, with many perennials and places to walk and sit. I have to mention that Verizon cell service was poor, but that's not Pamela's fault, and aside from that small glitch this was a perfect place to stay.

Room Tip: Carriage house is large but looks comfortable, cottage is small and cozy, both separate from the mai...
