Kennett House Bed & Breakfast
Reviewed 14 August 2006

My boyfriend and I spent the day at the local wineries and stayed over in the Kennett House. The house was beautiful and the food was delicious! Both Carol and Jeff made you feel right at home. I would definitely recomment staying there if planning a trip in the area.

Loved the proximity to Longwood Gardens and the quaint downtown street for a dinner time stroll. A visit to a nearby winery (there are 3 or 4 in the area) and a wonderful breakfast made for a great last minute get-away for this overworked DC couple. Nice shaded front porch for reading.

My husband and I have stayed in many B&B's over the years from Maine to Maryland. Kennett House ranks among the best.

The inn is beautifully decorated without being stuffy with comfortable common rooms and quiet spacious bedrooms offering all the amenities. Internet access is readily available as are snacks and drinks. Breakfast is a particular treat.

There are several good restaurants in Kennett Square, all within easy walking distance from the inn.

The innkeepers, Carol and Jeff, are super and make every effort to ensure your visit is enjoyable.

We had a wonderful weekend and plan to return.

We loved the Kennett House! We felt very welcome and comfortable the moment we walked in the door. Our room was beautiful and there were so many little extras that made our stay all the better. Snacks are always available and Carol's breakfasts were outstanding! What I liked most was Jeff and Carol are the perfect hosts. They guided us as to where to go, what to see and where to eat at our request. Their recommendations were top notch! We enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the evenings and lingering over breakfast with other guests and Jeff and Carol. We had a very relaxing time. We have stayed at quite a few B&B's and this one is my favorite!

The Kennett House was a real "find" for our trip to the Brandywine Valley!! The rooms are very comfortable, and attention is given to every detail. The bathrooms have everything from facial wash to dental floss. Never in our travels have we been spoiled with so many extras. The beds and linens are plush, the breakfasts are to die for, and the innkeepers are always there yet unobtrusive, and ready to answer questions and give advice. In addition, given all the extras, Kennett House is a real value. Room rates are both fair and competitive for all that they offer.
We recommend Kennett House and have full intention of returning there for further exploration of the Brandywine!!

We just got back from spending two nights at this wonderful bed & breakfast. The house is true arts & craft splendor. A two story, built with huge granite blocks, large comfortable front porch, lots of beautiful oak woodwork. Our room was upstairs and included a sitting room and private bath. Within walking distance to town and great restaurants. Very lovely people. Made us feel very welcome. Even gave us a gift when we left! We'll be back!!!
