“Horrible...Horrible...Horrible!!”
Reviewed 11 September 2012

We stayed here monday Sept. 10, 2012 on my way to an eye appointment near Philadelphia. Alot of the other hotels were booked so I figured this couldn't be that bad. I have to say the girl at the desk was very friendly and accomodating. The first room we were given was down a long hallway, around a turn and down another hallway. When we went around the turn the smell of cigarette stench just hit you in the face. I was suppose to have a NON smoking room and although the sign on the door said NON smoking, the room smelled of smoke and some type of cleaner to hide the smoke. My eyes began to burn and started itching. I knew I couldn't sleep in there. We went to the front desk and asked for another room. The girl was very nice and gave us a room on the third floor this time. It wasn't as bad as the first one so I went to a local store and bought some air freshner and a can of Febreeze and fumigated. You couldn't open the windows so that wasn't an option. They did not have free WiFi which in this day I thought was standard. The hallways were dingy and the carpet looked like something that had been laying on the turnpike for weeks. The carpet in the first room I was in was stained and spots everywhere. There was even what looked like cigarette marks on the side of the tub! Carpet in the second room wasn't as stained as the first one. TV only got a few chanels. The bed was horrible, you could feel the springs in your back. Needless to say, they don't have to "let the light on for me" again!

Room Tip: Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else. You won't regret it.

This place was the most disgusting Motel 6 I've ever stayed in. We payed $68.00 for a room for two people. There were inch long pubic hairs on the walls in the bathroom. There was a debate between me and the other person staying in the room whether the stain on the bathroom towel was a poop stain or a period blood stain. To top it off there was a running escort service three rooms down. The doors are cheap so you could hear everything. Some things come with the territory of staying in a budget motel but this has been by far the worst Motel 6 ever, and I've stayed in a few. My advice: STAY AWAY!! This place is a rip off for the price. Ive stayed in cheaper motels for a way cleaner room, and no hookers to my knowledge. Theres a very clean Microtel Inn 20 minutes down the road for only 15 more dollars and included breakfast. Don't stay in this hole!!

We were outside of King of Prussia for a wedding and needed to be in Phila by 6:30 am the following day. Motel 6 was our choice since it is closer to Interstate 76 which would bring us to Phila. We made the reserveration that morning and explained that we would be checking in around 11:00 pm and leaving at 6:00 am. The person taking the reservation stated "no problem". We requested and reserved a "non-smoking" room with a queen size bed. Upon our arrival just before 11:00 pm, the front desk stated that they had no "non-smoking" rooms available. She stated that the our room was under "maintendance" and this would not show when they made our reservation. At this late hour, we had the opportunity to visit the room on the smoking floor. We had to walk 3/4 the way down the "smokey" hallway to see the room. Once inside the room, it didn't seem too bad so we stayed. Unfortunately throughout the night, the smoke from the hallway and adjacent rooms got into our room. This was our worst night of sleep being non-smokers with asthma. We did get up earlier than expected and checked out. A horrible ending from a perfect day.

The front desk really didn't seemed too concerned about our late arrival and offered to "cancel our reservation' with penalities. Were the hell were we supposed to go at 11:00 at night. Customer Service definately lacking here. Note: we did get the room at 1/2 price........maybe should have been free...

Never again will we stay at or recommend Motel 6.

Ps: The sink was stopped up with the release broken, the rugs were dirty between the bathroom and sink.

Room Tip: Don't stay here in King of Prussia

Advantages: The room, the bathroom, the towels and linen were clean. The hotel and the premises were clean. Apart from ugly big old stains the carpets were also clean. The staff was helpful. Complimentary morning coffee and WiFi for 2,99/day were offered. There are four sets of washers/ dryers. As a smoker, I stood outside a lot, also at night, and I could not detect any suspicious persons or activities. The regular guests are workers and other decent people. The price is unbeatable (if more than one person) and the place is acceptable if you can live with the disadvantages.
It is an old motel, clean but outworn. The room smelled old fast food, the bathroom in the morning cigarettes. The second floor seems to be reserved for dog-owners and permanent guests. The GPS does not know the entrance so that your first arrival may be difficult.

I normally stay in Motel 6 or other 'cheap' hotels because I like to travel and have a limited budget. I'm used to less than perfect hotel rooms, but this hotel was one of the worst I've ever stayed in.

1. It's very confusing to get into the parking lot from the main road.
2. The room smelled terrible. I can usually deal with a little musty or stale smell, but this was overpowering. And the windows don't open so you can't even air it out.
3. My bathroom door would not latch and therefore you couldn't close it. This really wouldn't have bothered me except that my husband and I were staying there with our 11 month old who walks. There is no lid on the toilets there and I couldn't get her to stay out of the bathroom. I asked the desk to change our room and they were very rude and said this was no possible. The hotel was not full so there was no reason they couldn't. I ended up stacking our suitcases in front of the bathroom door to keep her out of there.
4. I booked a room for 2 adults and 1 child. The room was only stocked with 1 towel and one bed pillow on our queen bed. We had to go down and ask for more and then, when housekeeping came and cleaned up the room after our 1st night, they only replaced ONE towel, AND took the other pillow with them, so we again had to go down and ask again.
5. No TV channels. I couldn't even get the Phillies game on TV there.
6. The carpets in the hallway had huge red stains in them. They honestly looked like blood stains. But, the carpet and bathroom in the room were relatively clean for the price.
7. Housekeeping came EVERY morning and banged on the door asking if we were staying or leaving.

I'd never stay here again. There are much better hotels in the area for similar price!

Our 1st stay in a Motel 6 may not be our last but the chain will never be our 1st choice.

Bad news: they aren’t kidding about the no frills, bare bones part. The property would need more amenities to be considered sparse. Good news: they aren’t kidding about the clean part either. It was a perfectly clean room with crisp white sheets & towels. Be aware, hey do not provide shampoo only bar soap in the bathroom.

The location of this motel is a bit odd. It’s feels isolated & desolate even though it’s across the street from the King of Prussia mall.

The clerk at the desk wasn't very knowledgeable. She could not direct us to one of the restaurants at the Mall.
