A friend and I stayed at the Main Street Inn for a couple of nights, during the PA Dutch Festival, an annual event. Her room was in the original part of the home, while mine was part of the almost brand new wing. Everything sparkled and was of high quality, with big bathrooms (shower and separate tub), spacious bedrooms with every comfort including a writing desk and a fridge...and a door to the balcony where there are small chairs and tables overlooked by huge old trees, pretty gardens and the next-door church. Breakfast was self-serve with an amazing selection of hot and cold foods (substantial snacks were put out for us at night, too)...with seating in one of the original rooms. The place is within walking distance of Kutztown University and the fairgrounds. Only two things were lacking: a resident host (although they are easily reached by phone) and a good restaurant. We ate either at the fair, or at Deutsch Eck, an old-fashioned hotel diningroom in Lenhartsville, just down the road. There, you can have PA Dutch specialties like locally-smoked sausage, potato pancakes, chow chow, and corn fritters. In all, the inn is a marvelous getaway spot, close to Rt. 78, Bethlehem and Allentown, but with lovely small town atmosphere.

I'm a young professional who was looking for an affordable way to give my boyfriend a memorable birthday. A friend of mine had spent his wedding night at the Inn and recommended the stay and staff with high regards. After contacting the Inn myself, I was blown away by the attention and personable energy they gave me. Not only did they greet me with smiles, but had a smorgasbord of goodies, a gorgeous (and clean) room and provided a comfortable atmosphere 100%. It felt as if they were willing to bend over backwards just to see me happy in every way possible!

Normally, I would think a B&B would be a 'waste of money', but the Inn has changed my mind and I'm STILL recommending and talking about it! Although Kutztown does not have a whole lot of entertainment year round, there wasn't much complaining on our behalf 'cause we were so excited to be on "vacation" there!

My husband and I generally do not care to stay at B& B's. To our sheer delight, my daughter, a senior at Kutztown had said, we would certainly love this place. We came to celebrate her birthday and had a fabulous time. She has since graduated and has a teaching postiion in Maryland so we won't be visiting there ever again. But if we were to head in that direction we would recommend you whole heartedly. You have a top notch place and give you an A+++ rating.

Pam and her family have put together a B&B that is a model for all other hosts. Like her hotel, Pam sparkles, and bring your appetite, for her home cooked breakfasts are over the moon. Recently redone, the classic building is kept spotless and well organized, with lots of shaded on-site parking and local info galore. Her staff instantly makes you feel at home, and glad you came. Beds are large and comfy, linens and towels fresh and fluffy, large flat screen tv's, slipper tubs, and lots of high end trim and details. Very flexible - we arrived three hours early and were welcomed and settled without fuss. We attended the Kutztown Folk Festival, and the hotel is right in town, near the University, and we were able to walk to the grounds and around this quaint town easily. Has WiFi, iron and board, fridge, and the usual services, plus balconies and a lovely large outdoor patio.
If you are traveling in the Kutztown area, do not miss this jewel.

Having just seen the first review on Tripadvisor for Main Street Inn, my first thought was, O'h no the secret is out.! We have stayed at Pam & Angelo's B&B a few times now, when visiting family. All I can say is, it was a hidden gem & now it is not such a hidden gem.
The hospitality here is unrivalled - a real family affair, & as the B&B declaration states - you really do 'enter as strangers & leave as friends'.

This was our second stay at this fabulous B&B. There are 8 guest rooms, all with a different theme relating to the history of the inn or the town. You simply feel comfortable the minute you arrive. The innkeepers have paid every attention to detail. The rooms are all new, but feel old-fashioned and are simply delightful. Both of our rooms had a door to a second floor porch next to a beautiful old church and overlooking the Inn's courtyard. You can sit there and watch the world go by on Main Street in Kutztown. The courtyard had a wonderful fountain and beautiful flowers, and you may take your breakfast out there is you so desire. However, my favorite part of the Inn is the bathrooms: deep claw-footed soaking tubs with complimentary soaps and shampoos from a wonderful local store. Sheer heaven!

The Innkeepers, Pam and Angelo, possess genuine hospitality and seem happy to meet any need you may have. We initially stayed at the Inn for a college function, but will be back just to enjoy the ambience of this wonderful Inn.
