This is a top quality hotel proud to wear the Marriott badge. From the moment we pulled up to the front door we were greeted and taken care of. Our package included self-parking, there is also valet available. The garage is around the corner, entrance off Duke St. But there's a walkway right to the hotel lobby, so you don't need to go on the street or walk outside.
The architecture and decor of the hotel has kept the history of the property at the forefront of its message. On our online reservation we requested a high floor. We had a room on the 19th floor (top floor) that gave commanding views of the city and countryside.
The room was clean and had the correct pillow selection we noted in our reservation request (no down). The bathroom amenities were top notch and quite unique in their packaging and shape.
All interactions with the front desk and bell services were very friendly, polite, and helpful.
It is right downtown. Great location for walking to Market, the Fulton, or shops on Queen St.
Only two cons, but not enough to reduce our ratings.
1. The was small bits of trash in the hall that we noticed over multiple days
2. There is a fee for in room wi-fi. That wasn't a surprise, but in this day and age seem greedy.More
