The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. The old timey music that's piped in would be cute if you just stayed for one night, but becomes annoying when you stay for three. The pictures make it look like there's a large body of water to view from the room with a deck, but it's really a view of the roof and Highway 30. The HVAC system in the room worked well, but was loud. We tried opening the sliding door to let the cool night air in, but the air brakes from the trucks were continuous throughout the night. Earplugs were deployed. I would recommend this as a great place to stay for one night if you're just passing through, want to be near the highway and have children that would enjoy the playground and swimming pool. We wondered if we would have enjoyed the hotel more if we had a room on the other side of the hotel overlooking farmland. The place was practically empty and we probably should have asked to try the other side to see if it was quieter and had a nicer view. The decks on the third floor all seem to overlook several feet of roof, which is not pleasant at all. I wonder why they didn't put us on the pasture side? We booked months ahead.
